GUYS. PEOPLE AREN'T BORN EVIL. Evil people are CREATED OVERTIME. People aren't evil for no reason, either. There's always an explanation. Besides, he's not real. Utonium is also not real. Let me speculate on their relationship that we never see other than three scenes at the beginning of the episode. Gosh!

Wow maybe because he's a character I've enjoyed since fucking 2023 and it's fun to create stories and theories around him. We only know surface-level information about the guy and I'm naturally curious and like knowing WHY something is the way that it is. OR MAYBE IM FUCKING CRAZY. I DONT CARE.

I'm still haunted by a question that will never be answered:

Why is Dick Hardly the way he is?

You're not born evil. Nobody is born evil. Your experiences guide you to being who you are now. You can end up good, end up bad but become better, end up good but become bad, or be bad until the day you die.

Nowhere is it explained why he's a selfish, money-hungry, remorseless egomaniac. We don't know why, and never will know why, because he's a one-off villain (and dead).

This eats at me daily because I need to understand why something is the way that it is.

Maybe he had a rough childhood and teenhood. Maybe he had a good childhood and teenhood, but hung out with the wrong people. Maybe he grew up poor. Maybe he grew up rich and spoiled. Was he bullied? Was he popular? Why is he this way now, and what was he like before we first see him?

And I get it, "it's a kids show! you're digging too deep," but it helps me understand them more than "oh he's greedy and killed a bunch of super-powered girls in a lab."

He'll never be expanded upon. I can only make up my own explanation, which is tricky. How can I keep it in-character when we only know simple, surface-level things about the guy?
