Damned Soul (12-Point Quality)
This person died, went to hell (or a similar place), and came back. Probably without the demons knowing. They’ve been through hell but came out. Maybe not wiser, maybe not stronger, but they definitely came out.
Damned Souls are Immortal now that they are back on the material plane. They recover their Constitution in Life Points every round, have 1 level of the Age quality due to their time in Hell being usually longer than the time they’ve spent alive. They gain +1 to one Physical Attribute and +2 to another Physical attribute. They also have a +1 to one mental attribute. They may raise their attributes to superhuman levels, as they are no longer human, but demons from hell. They also regenerate their Constitution each hour. They can also have up to 10 levels of Hard to Kill.
Having been through hell, and being dead, their bodies are harder to damage than most. They take 1/5th damage from Fire of all sorts (Holy, Hell, and even Soulfire), 1/5th Bullets, and ½ Slash/Stab damage.
These beings are notoriously hard to put down. Aside from capturing them via magic/binding them, specific magical artifacts that can send them directly to hell, or attacks that directly destroy souls, the only way to really put them down is to destroy the eyes (4 damage to get both). The “Windows to the Soul”. Doing that sends them right back to hell. Otherwise, they just get right back up once they regenerate.
On the negative side, they have Recurring Nightmares, 3 levels of mental drawbacks to represent their sins in life, and Adversary (Hell’s Hitmen and Monster Hunters) 4. Some Damned are sent to hunt down other Damned, while most are just the magical equivalent of escaped convicts. Both types have to deal with various hunters who view them as no better than demons. Or possibly worse.
And to be fair, some Damned really are that bad.
The damned often gain powers and abilities based on both how long they were in hell, and which place they were tormented in, or related to the sins they committed in life.
Edit: The Divine version of this, the Blessed, operate with the same abilities and weaknesses, just for different reasons (Heaven protecting its agents). They do not have the mental drawbacks or recurring Nightmares. Instead, they have a total obligation to the hosts of heaven supporting their trip (or has them as a seperate adversary), as well as Honorable (minimal).
