All of Zeldas early designs, from the "classic" era's various interpretations of the character, are outfits she owns across different points in life. Her earliest concept art features clothes from her childhood (LoZ 1986/7) and her more polished art and certain manga appearances are what she wears as a young adult (AoL). One month left until we can dress up with EoW Zelda! ^^
