From California I watch a stream covering the Rosetta Mission streaming from ESA Mission Control in Darmstadt, Germany. I'm watching with a friend who lives across the country from me, in Connecticut The mission is a collected effort from many countries in Europe, the U.S., Canada and Australia. We landed on a comet we've been chasing for ten years, far, far away from our homes. This has put into perspective for me how the world can come together in ways I can hardly imagine. I'm very proud to be a part of this amazing planet, during this amazing time that makes human collaboration and communication possible across such lengthy distances.
Watching the 67P comet landing with Vinny, this is really cool and exciting. Hope all goes well, the space industry needs a win.
