I haven’t seen Godzilla in forever and recently I was able to watch the first film from 1954.

I know you’re Godzilla’s main hype man so I need some recommendations! What are some good ones to watch that you’ve really loved?

I love being known as godzilla’s main hype man hahah im here to help! best movie is far and way the one you just watched! 54 Gojira is a gat damn masterpiece and the best place to start. Now its important to also know what you want out of your godzilla movies because that changes what is considered “good”,  if you want campy funtimes, theres a lot to enjoy,  if you want very serious and dark, theres very few. SO my favs for various reasons SHOWA ERA Gojira ‘54 the GOAT take all the awards Mothra vs Godzilla ‘64 one of the best story wise and iconic suit! if u like mothra its great with the twins and the music is A++++ Ghidora the 3 headed monster ‘64 great intro to godzilla’s most iconic villain plus rodan and mothra too, a fun one From here you can skip a lot of 60′s cheese til Terror of Mechagodzilla ‘75 - a bit darker than the previous HEISEI ERA Godzilla vs. Biollante - interesting story about genetically modified plant tissue mutating with godzilla’s dna and going haywire Godzilla vs. Mothra ‘92 i enjoy this one as a mothra stan and the inclusion of Batra is a cool update Godzilla vs Destroyah ‘95  one of my TOP TOP TOP favs, this is a one of the best, great monsters and an important story to godzilla’s history. Emotional Ending. 7 stars out of 5 MILLENIUM ERA GMK Giant Monsters All Out Attack ‘01 my fav from this era with some updates to classic monsters and really cool looking suits.  Baragon go RAAA Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla ‘02 really like the plot of the mecha being build around the original ‘54 godzilla’s bones, and the spirit of 54 Goji awakening REIWA ERA Shin Godzilla 2016 - my fav after the original, this movie for the most part brings a lot of seriousness and realism back into it, esp with dealing how modern japanese govt would deal with Godzilla as a natural disaster. Favorite Final Fantasy?

Aside from XIV of course, out of the admittedly few I’ve played, FFX holds a special place for me. It was my 3rd FF game and I was utterly enamored with the world and characters, and the final battles where you have to say goodbye was maybe the first time a video game had evoked such a strong emotional response from me, while I tried to hold it together cuz I was playing while my 3 roommates at the time watched, but they were also emotionally affected by what was happening to the various fayth we’d met through the story.

I had to immediately get FFX-2 when it came out, and I loved that continuation of Yuna’s story, too, even if I missed the Perfect Ending because I think I didn’t time the whistling correctly in the Farplane, or something like that.

Honorable Mention goes to FFXV, despite the shitty DLC story crap. It had great potential and it’s the first game in a LONG time that I enjoyed playing in recent years. 

Also FFX. The story is unmatched and the way it’s told is phenomenal. I still get to the ending and cry lmao.

⭐️ Zena and Rothe came over L’selle’s house once, and Zena claimed the kitchen table when the other two cooked. L'selle opened up a cupboard, saw the tonberry inside, motionless and beady-eyed, and slammed the door. He was prepared to pretend it never happened and just never open the cabinet again, but Rothe insisted. The tonberry sprung out. Zena snatched it up and chucked it out the door. I’m p sure it was some of the best teamwork ever.

⭐️ One time Zena took a break from adventuring n hunting and stuck up a fire in La Noscea. She was grilling some dodo when L’selle ran by, spun right around, and barreled towards her. And bees were chasing him. Now they were chasing both of them. In payment for her leaving n losing her lunch--and possibly for having to dive into the nearest river or shore--L’selle sent a sort of Hatchingtide basket to the LIFE house. There’s a chunk of glowing coral in it. It rattles when you shake it. No one figured it out yet, but its a gil bank.

⭐️ Elliot was babbling next to Zena in Gyr Abania, telling her abt the places he’s been already in this gods forsaken bug land. While he was mid-monologue, she kicked the back of his knees in and he hit the ground. A chapuli hit the ground right after--behind him. It was gonna jump on his face if Zena didn’t knock his legs out. He bought her a drink after whining abt the bruise.
