Meditation is not about forcing the mind or emotions to stop. We cannot stop our thoughts and emotions, in fact that’s not possible nor healthy. We need our thoughts and emotions! The trick is to gently learn how to redirect your chattering mind (known as “monkey mind”) and keep it busy with something else! Instead of scolding the monkey mind or abusing it by trying to stop it, gently try to make friends with it. If it likes to be busy, then gently give it something to do! 🤗 invite it to watch your breath for a few moments! The monkey mind will love that! 🙏🤗🥰 🐵
