I can’t help but think that as millenials get older that they show off baby boomer tendencies, like complaining about today’s entertainment not being nearly as good as the entertainment back in their day (which could most likely be bitter adulthood blocking our childhood wonder/learning to critique as we grow older) or that the new generation is dumb (ala the Tide Pod scandal), claiming that their generation never did anything stupid OR that previous generations have never suffered as much as we have before when we now have the gift of hindsight to determine those previous events while the previous generation did not

It’s like Ouroboros’ cycle for me, and I worry about Gen Z and the generation after them.

I miss my gf because she started school yesterday so now I can’t see her nearly as often as I want

I’m kind of looking forward to my senior year, but at the same time I’m nervous because pretty soon I’m going to be an adult and I’ll have to start making adult decisions. it’s kind of exciting, but troubling at the same time.

if we’re talking a full year ago, pretty good for the time. I’d just started making some new friends and I had high hopes for my future with them, but it all came tumbling down pretty quickly. I’m a lot better off now than I was back then

my mom, who’s currently asleep in the living room

too good, I’d say. I find it very difficult to genuinely express my feelings even around people I really trust

pretty bored atm because I’m just waiting for my mom to wake up so she can take me to drop off my summer ap chem homework at school

oh boy

if I’m being honest, I think I’m really nice. maybe even too nice. I can’t bring myself to intentionally be rude to someone. sure I can be a jackass to people, but I’m only joking around and I only do it if I feel like they won’t take it to heart. I joke around a lot, actually. people tell me I’m funny and I guess I can agree with that. I have a really dry sense of humor so I can say something sarcastic and say it so seriously people wonder if it was even a joke. I like making people laugh though, it makes me feel like I’ve made their day better, even if only a little. sometimes people think I’m depressing to be around, and I can’t really fault them for that. I have a hard time expressing emotions so I mask almost everything I say in a bit of sarcasm and I can come off as somewhat pretentious as a result

18. do you miss how thing were a year ago?

I’d be lying if I didn’t say I missed it a little. I had a lot of fun in the prop crew for my school’s theater club for example, but since I’ve burned bridges with just about every person in it, there’s no way I can go back to that

back in 8th grade there was this girl in my class that wouldn’t shut the hell up about it and so one day I joined to see what all the fuss was about. I didn’t really use it though until near the end of freshman year when I decided I needed a whole bunch of new social network accounts. I gravitated towards tumblr mostly because there were so many homestuck fans and I was pretty much obsessed with homestuck at the time. yikes
