ZERO GRAND
When i heard about this ZERO GRAND from my friend, he was like"dude this will completely blown your mind" as a shoe lover i got confused, are you kidding me, COLE HAAN? as if the lunargrand dress shoe collab with nike wasn't enough, you've gone a step further and successfully blown my mind.
Yes it was indeed, another massive collaboration from NIKE and COLE HAAN, NIKE known to its innovative approach of athletic shoes, COLE HAAN known to its aggressive approach of combining modern and classic silos has come up with a lightest (290 grams) and most flexible shoe Cole Haan has ever created. Man i must say upon seeing it on pictures i was like, "i want you so bad that i cant even sleep" LOL but not before the price was posted, then i said "ah ok, i just sleep on it", whooping at nearly $300 (11k to 13k) for a pair of shoes that is neither a sneaker or dress shoe.
For my tastes, I fancy this shoe more than the LunarGrand, it just does marry well with my personality. Progressing towards the silos and aesthetics, since working on a shoe company i've got a little knowledge, as you can see they've use two different upper material one is made up of riftop nylon and the other one is in full grain suede which is good cause this are high quality materials and finest of all its kind, sole are made up of ultra light EVA midsole with rubber outsole compared to its counterpart brogues so no wonder it cost to break a bank. However, if you think this is the shoe for you, take a gander at my findings and judge for yourself.
UP'S
I've seen a similar outsole like this and its extremely flexible. Seriously, the bad boy of all sole as of now. Great for individuals that may spend a lot of time on their feet or have underlying foot ailments.
Will definitely become your default shoes whether your working in a business-casual or in creative environment that encourages fashion-forward thinking.
DOWN'S
The cost can break a bank – at nearly Php 15K for a pair of shoes that is neither a sneaker or dress shoe, this business-casual hybrid is pretty steep for a shoe to be worn most likely in a casual setting.
The suede material is not applicable here in our country when the mighty drops of water emerge and can ruin a one month shoe salary. Imagine your ZERO GRAND drown it a deep shallow water of manila. "Put it in the wash, they'll be grand" LOL
This is a fashion forward design and its risky cause your look may become dated sooner rather than later.
The perforated holes might not the be your best bud when it rain.
