Welcome to the world of The Inner Council. Creepie Kir and her sister, Undecim Kir, strive to learn about who they are or what the purpose of their existence is. Their world focuses on the paranormal aspects of life, such as dream symbolism, spiritual entities, and the idea of multiple selves (Years). A Year is the embodiment of an entire year of a person's life, a permanent characterization their behavior during that time. Let's have a quick introduction of the girls:
Zero (00): Zero is a grade-A student in her class at Bethel Academy. She experienced damaged pride when her teachers started giving her detentions for working ahead of her assignments. Zero is religious and strives to "keep in line" as her teachers have asked her to do. Maja (01): Maja was removed from Bethel Academy after a confrontation between her mother and the principal. She is intrigued by magic and likes to pretend she is a witch when she is not attending her homeschool classes. Tatlo (03): Tatlo's mother placed her back into another Catholic school, but it was unwelcoming compared to Bethel. The unruly children and constant fights in Tatlo's class made her a nervous wreck. Years above Fyra and Tatlo cannot recall many memories from her year. Fyra (04): Tatlo became aggressive halfway through her year and Fyra's personality changed as a result. Fyra is belligerent and bullies others. She is part of a clique led by the rich girl of their class, though she acknowledges that they are not really her friends. Fyra's pure black eyes make her seem menacing, but to her, they are a futile attempt to hold onto a dear memory that is fading from her mind. Years above Fyra and Tatlo cannot recall many memories from her year. Five (05): Fyra was removed from St. Cyril of Alexandria after an incident that no one seems to remember, Five has returned to homeschooling in her year. Five has the mouth of a sailor (except when her parents are around) and has been exposed to gore on her own computer, triggering a morbid fascination with it. Roku (06): Roku made a friend online and took to role-playing almost every day. Her character was Daisy Animaru, who she spoke with the same way she would a spirit. She decided to call these kinds of entities "figments" to separate them from general spirits. Roku's mother found a homeschool group to encourage her daughters to make friends in a church-friendly environment. Roku has an interest in anime and personalizes her appearance with the ears and tail of a wolf. Five and Roku's neglect to her hair resulted in it being cut short, she feels ugly and equates herself to a boy because of it. Nana (07): Nana is still into anime and uses Roku's ears and tail. She claims to practice black magic and wants to dress darker to express her "edgy" lifestyle, but she does not know how to go about it. Nana is still close with Daisy and she likes to think she is more powerful than other people when role-playing. Nana boasts being suicidal and has a crush on a boy in their church group. Tristis (08): Tristis is in a constant state of depression and self-loathing. She wears black, baggy clothes and mismatched Gothic and Punk jewelry in an attempt to fit the "EMO" style. Tristis rarely smiles and became frightened after feeling a real desire to end her life, though she does not express her feelings to anyone in the family. Tristis' interest in anime died down after her sister tricked their mother into believing her best friend was a pedophile. Tristis turned her focus to a forum she made for "Creepy Kids" so she can find new friends to roleplay with. Nueve (09): Nueve got back into religion and gained an interest in angels, though she enjoyed writing about her demon characters because she felt they had more personality. Despite this, she believed herself to be associated with angels. Another figment, Gale, came to her among others she spoke with. Nueve still hosts the Creepy Kid role play with her sister. They succeeded in attracting members, though only three were close with both Nueve and Nona. They created a tight-knit bond and became a core group on the site. Ten (10): Ten's mother created a paranormal group after she grew tired of the drama in other organizations. Ten's previous Years had experience from attending these investigations, which made it easier to assist her mother in the field. Her life changed when her mother got a call from a young man named Zehn Cain, who claimed he was possessed by a demon and needed their help. Zehn and Ten bonded and formed a romantic relationship after two months. The constant turmoil caused by their relationship made Ten lose her temper toward the end of her year, she is accused of being the cause for Creepie's warped appearance. Creepie (11): Creepie is the current Year in the council, she promised to become a better person after Ten's outburst. Creepie is still close with Einsam even after they broke up in Ten's year, she hopes they will one day date again. Creepie had a terrifying nightmare and consulted her sister, who convinced her to try dream symbolism. Creepie's real name is Eleven, but she adopted her new name after Daisy commented on her appearance. Pluma (12): Pluma's year is currently classified.
Most Years have numerical markings, much like the eleven on Creepie's forehead. Other people may have them in less obvious places or they do not utilize the markings at all. People who do not use markings may not fixate on their past or future. Let's say you are the type of person to "live in the moment." Perhaps you are least likely to rely on a Year or see them with this mindset, so it is rare to see or hear from a past self. Years begin to act more like symbolic aspects of one's self as time passes. In a scenario where Creepie may experience social anxiety, Tatlo may come to her side and feed her insecurities. Tatlo's timid nature translates into a form of insecurity and she acts as such, implying the behavior stemmed from her. If Creepie is depressed, Tristis may come and claim that it is her own fault because she is worthless. What is to come in Creepie and Undecim's future? Perhaps their dreams will continue to guide them.
