Thanks! Zeroambit did the wax, I just acquired the squid and jars and put the one in the other.

Is it a new thing for people to claim that things in transfeminism were either started by white trans women or are only being talked about by white trans women as a silencing tactic? Also with the addition of saying that transfeminism is just like white feminism?
I noticed this came up the other day after those trans men invaded Zeroambit’s post about transphobia as blowback transmisogyny.
Yesterday I saw a non binary dfab person of color claiming that our discourse on dfab privilege was only from white trans women, ignored race, erased non binary identities, and that non binary people encounter more violence and discrimination than trans women. They also implicitly claimed that white gay men started the gay rights movement and that white trans women start everything trans. Obviously that continues to erase how trans women of color started the entire LGBT rights movement.
Their post also ignored how it’s not just masculinity (which only applies to dfab people because dmab people don’t really benefit from being masculine) but power over women in women’s, feminist, and queer spaces.
So maybe some of the trans women of color who follow me could chime in since I feel like at least some of you have been involved in talking about dfab privilege.

ugh i love those lines too
i love them, but also fucking ouch. like, shit, it hurts.
Lol accusing someone of tone policing as you do exactly that. And I'm still in pursuit of what i planned (do you think you have that much influence? Really?) just with people/sources who have decent common courtesy and who do not feel that they have the right to behave like assholes and then use the fact that they are an oppressed minority to attempt to excuse their individual behaviour.
Wow you really do feel that entitled don’t you? Yeah, I actually do have the authority to control how you speak to me on my own damn blog. Come for me when I go on your blog and tell you how to run your shit (of course, you’d never know it was me, since then I’d be an anon too).
And lol at you still expecting me to accommodate you when you’ve called me childish, and now an asshole as well. And you still think you can But at least you’re learning! You could have moved on to those other people after my first response to you didn’t suit your liking. But hey, you gotta start somewhere, right?
I remember way back when I received my first callout for demanding space and time from a black woman who wasn’t obligated to educate me but I had gotten offended by that, but it didn’t take long - thanks to self-reflection and gaining an understanding through my own learning - to understand where her fullstop response came from:
People expect you to jump, so you do, until you get tired. One more person asks you to jump for them, and the second you tell them no, frustrated and tired, they wanna act like you telling them no hurt them and you didn’t say no nicely enough and your no wasn’t polite and your no was given with zero consideration for them, since it’s all about their feelings and not yours—cuz they want to “learn” of course and you are their Chosen One and nothing you say or do will stop them from demanding you jump for them one more time. This saga of asks is a great example.
Ugh, I've been so stressed about school, money, health and stuff that I'm not at all pleasant to be around this week. Zeroambit's been really sweet and patient with me but even I'm tired of myself.
So of course my boss just tried to move up a big deadline to *tomorrow* from Wednesday. Great.
Elle asked the other day how I could stand watching Mad Men, and when I saw someone talking about it today I realized:
I really like watching bad people suffer, but I don't really like violent TV. So watching them stew in a hell of their own making and realize their growing irrelevance is pretty satisfying.
