The day was supposed to be a break for Zero, who’d taken refuge in an old, abandoned storehouse.

There was an old couch he could sleep on and a mini fridge he stocked with food in the office. He’d learned to live with bare necessities over the years, knowing he didn’t have time to pack if he needed to skip the town he was in.

It didn’t take much for the brunet’s heart to start racing, feeling another presence in the building with him. He hopped to his feet without a sound, reaching for his knife as he walked out to the main area, boxes stacked all around him, which could easily conceal any intruder.

The room went cold and dark as soon as Zero turned his head towards the back of he room, feeling his heart beat faster and faster until he could no longer breathe. His ears rang as he shut his eyes tight, realizing what induced this reaction in him.

There was a demon lurking in the storehouse; Zero never got this sort of reaction otherwise.

Zero turned his whole body to face the back of the room, fighting back passing out from the immense power this demon held. “Stop dicking around with my head you bastard.” He growled, feeling lightheaded as he gripped his knife tighter in his hand.
