As you can see I really suck at keeping up with this. So behold, 21 days I’ve missed. I didn’t do all of this in one sitting. I did a good half of it during an earlier time and then I did the rest. ;__;
What food are you craving right now?
I've really been craving Steak n Shake. Not even just their food I really want a milkshake from there. I've been talking about going to my roommate for a month now lol.
What was the last dream you remember about?
I had such a vivid dream last night. I was working for some household and I don't know what I really did. Anyways they had a son around my age and he was such a gentlemen and we shared the same type of humor. And all I remember is having the courage to ask him out after embarrassing myself by singing to the top of my lungs and falling down a tree after his mom yelled at me to stop cause I was so bad!
A habit you wish you didn’t have.
When I'm nervous or feeling anxious, I have a bad habit of picking at my nails. I was also in my high school chamber orchestra and people who were in orchestra know that you can't have long nails or else it's difficult to push on the strings so it's always weird when I have decently grown.
Describe the room you’re in right now.
I'm in my dad's car. We're currently headed back home after spending the weekend at VA beach. It's dark, cause it's night time. But his truck is black as well. And he has black seating and next to me in order is my sister and my brother.
A dead person you’d like to talk to and why?
Right now I wished I was closer with my grandparents. I wasn't fortunate enough to meet my grandpa cause he passed away when I turned one. However my grandma, I often avoided her because I was scared being around her. I remember seeing her and thinking she was so fragile she could break any moment.
Go look in the mirror. What’s the first thing you notice?
ACNEEEE WHY DO YOU EXIST---Oh tru my eyebrows on fleek~
What song makes you dance?
Right now I'm listening to Ne-yo's "Closer" & Ne-yo always makes me dance (;
Name a cartoon you loved as a kid.
PPG. There was this corner between two sofas I loved going into and I remember "becoming" blossom there, wearing my towel as her hair/cape.
I'm not really sure what this means. But if you're asking me what my idea feast is, a feast with Lasagna, Popeyes, and Mac n cheese is life.
Had any collections as a kid?
I didn't really collect anything but I remember trying to collect rocks but I picked the same kind of rocks from my playground in school and I got a Nike shoe box and taped each rock and put rock 1, Rock 2, Rock 3, etc. I'm pretty sure my parents got rid of my small rock collection lol.
What super power do you wish you had?
I wished I was able to teleport between places whenever I wanted to. I would just teleport back home instead of my dorm after my day is over.
Go up to your best friend, hand her this notebook and say “write anything about me.”
Dear Shaina, Well where do I start? I felt like our friendship was love at first sight (and I mean that in the most platonic way haha! I do love you lots though hehe! :p) I remember what initiated us to first start talking almost five years ago on that tennis court and those three laps of hell. I was always really bad with running and the fact that we had to run THREE of those damn laps drove me crazy, especially since Somaya, Jessie, and the rest of the team seemed to run them with ease. Then there was: us. We were always last, but still we never gave up and ran them regardless! I really loved how our friendship formed by fighting an obstacle together, both that we found challenging. As we got to know each more I could really feel how close we were both getting (from our love to kpop to our support for each other in hard times). I also felt that we reached another point in our friendship when we were assigned as double partners… I forgot what year that was but I think it was my junior year? Anyway, Ms. Regan put a lot of thought in assigning us for #1 doubles and she trusted us to give it our all. I know it was a lot of pressure for you since we were going against the best of our opponents, but we battled them together and every point that we fought for was done with such ELEGANCE. LET ME TELL YOU! XD The best memory I have is me teaching you how to smash the balls over the net, and it was so awesome getting to witness how you grew as a player as well. I have to say those memories will never be forgotten, as well as the memories we formed together off the court. Fast forwarding some years, I think you graduated by this time. But I realized some important things starting the end of my junior and entering my senior year and that how important you were as my friend. I had never gotten so close to someone before in my life, and it definitely made me lonely that year when you were gone. Things weren’t the same at all! I can say from deep down in my heart that you are the very first best friend that I have connected with on an emotional level. I remember when I was young, I never thought that was possible for me… especially since I was bullied in elementary school and I had no friends at all! But meeting you has changed my entire perspective of friendships as a whole, and it truly is a blessing to have you in my life and call you by dearest of friends. I KNOW WE WILL STAY FRIENDS FOR THE REST OF OUR LIVES (and I will wear our friendship bracelet to my grave XD). In conclusion, I just want to thank you for being in my life and dealing with the nonsense that I put you through sometimes (double chin today ;D). I really cannot see how I would have managed all these years if I didn’t have you as my support system. And as always, I am forever your support system if you need anything at all (don’t you dare hide anything from me missy!). I guess one of the very things that I am thankful for Ms. Regan is that she brought the two of us together in Spring 2012 <3 I can’t wait to get old with you together and share the memories that we will have in the future with our families to come! Oh! And you have to design my house too! :p With Love, Malisha
How do you feel about gay marriage?
I don’t support it. However, I don’t believe God hates them. I don’t hate them. God hates the sin not the person. I’ve had friends who’ve come out and I was still there for them the same way I was before I found out.
What’s one thing you’d like to change about your school?
....Do not get me started okay. Well you already did too late. There is a lack of diversity within my campus. That would be nice to change. The food options is so scarce...and unhealthy. We have a range from Chick-Fil-A to Wendy’s. The healthier options are the most expensive to swipe for. I’m not gonna get any deeper i’d become it’s own post!
How do you feel about abortion?
I’m Pro-Life. I think from both sides, I think its safe to say that it’s sad to say goodbye to what could’ve been. I don’t think any child is a mistake. They we’re meant to happen. I have fully acknowledged that certain circumstances make it seem that getting rid of the baby is better,i.e. teen moms, financial worries, etc. but considering what they were capable of, whose lives they could’ve impacted, their accomplishments, breaks my heart.
If you could write a book what would it be about?
I’ve actually always thought about writing a book. I want to write a novel but I think I’d write a book to help with self-improvement. I’m really into those kinds of books and many people thing they’re cheesy or bs but they really help me re-evaluate things in my head. It’d probably be about finding yourself through God, something I wished someone helped me out with or learning to love yourself, something cheesy like that.
Write about how your favorite book makes you feel.
I don’t really have a favorite book. First of all, I haven’t read anything just cause in such a long time. I can’t even say that I don’t have the time, usually when I have the time now I’m catching up with shows and I’m always out with my roommate! But I’ll talk about two books in my mind now. One of them is 1/2 Prince. It’s a manga and I haven’t finished it but wherever I stopped, I love the balance between humor, action, and I can tell there’s romance blossoming. Any story with those three genres I will check it out and decide for myself if it’s bad! The other book would have to be Skip Beat. That is the only manga that I’ve been able to read 100 or 200+ chapters. To manga fanatics that’s nothing but I get bored easily. The manga is sort of stretching it which is why I haven’t been reading, but I love the story and the main character!
Write about how your favorite movie makes you feel.
Gahh this is so tough! Right now I can only decide on 13 Going on 30 as my favorite movie so I’m gonna roll with it. It’s so cliche but I can’t help but think it’s so cute! Makes me wished I had that kind of relationship with someone. Watching that movie also makes me feel hopeful cause the work space she works in is something I’ll eventually end up in. The movie is outdated now and if they did an updated version of the movie, I would love it even more but the movie definitely validates that although you become so busy with life, you can’t help but finally take a moment to realize the things around you and see you’ve been taking things for granted. I feel like I’m a workaholic so watching this just enforces to me that I need to take time out every day to take in the present before it’s all just a memory.
Write about how your favorite song makes you feel.
My favorite song is “Last Hope” by Paramore. First of all, that entire album was made for me when it first came out. It’s almost like they made that album for me. The album came out 2013, just before I entered senior year of high school. The theme of growing up and learning to be on your own is something I was struggling with at the time and the message within Last Hope, to keep going and to stop always trying to control the things around you. Since I’m christian this song definitely resonated with me because the light that keeps glowing is God’s everlasting love and support for me. I don’t know if low key they were showing their Christian beliefs but taking it from a christian viewpoint and a non-christian viewpoint, this song all around was made for me. Listening to the song helps me put things back in perspective when I’m too stressed out to think.
Write a letter to your future husband.
Are you even real? I don’t even know if I’m gonna marry. I’d love to but I like to keep myself pessimistic about meeting someone cause it’s better than having hopes then getting them crushed. Well anyways, if you are real wow. How did I trick you into staying with me and even committing the rest of your life with me? It was probably my hilarious dorky lame sense of humor. Will Tumblr still be up when we are together? Ah, well if I decided to marry you that means I have completely been open and raw with you about everything so you already know I did this! Right now I’m listening to GD’s ‘Crooked’, it’s 2:02AM, and Ericka is trying to sleep (but she’s on and off her phone). It’s 3/18/16. I wonder what you’re doing right now. Whatever you’re doing, I hope you’re doing well physically and mentally. Did you know we were meant to get married? Man, if I’ve already met you I’m going to be so blown.
Write about what’s on your mind.
I can feel a pimple growing on my chin and it’s really bothering me. There will be a day that I will be acne-free or at least a whole lot better than where I am now. I am also worried about my roommate because she’s still up and she has to wake up in 5-6 hours for her first day of teaching. I will pray for her that tomorrow goes well for her, regardless though she barely sleeps and it concerned me /: I am also thinking about the responsibility I have and I can’t wait for the summer but I can also wait because I’m scared about making it into my program or not. Now I’m wondering about my future husband *insert eye-rolling emoji*. If I’ve seriously met him already, I’m going to be so baffled. But I guess God works in mysterious ways and he has a funny sense of humor.
Write about your elementary school.
Elementary school was awful for me okay. Let me just say, I’m Asian, specifically from the Philippines and I have a birthmark that covers a good portion of the right side of my face. Do you see all of the things that are screaming attention?? I’ve learned to accept it now and embrace it but as a kid it was the worst. Plus I had a weight problem. I’m getting mad all over again! It didn’t help that my English sucked. I got better over time but it was a struggle communicating. I was a troublesome kid though. In Kindergarten, I “befriended” this girl named Stephanie, something like that, just to drink from her juice pouch. She eventually caught me, and I saw in the time out corner. That was my corner! I don’t remember every time why I went, but I remember always being there. The only good thing that came out of elementary school days was meeting Naima, my best friend, THE BEST FRIEND, the cartoons and shows I grew up with, playing outside, playing with poly pocket, and getting my teddy bear, Annie.
