They were strong, and full of tricks. Asura was already previously injured, and his wounds were opening back up -- but wasn’t that why he had come in the first place? To use a witch soul or two to help himself recover? So why was this so difficult? Why wouldn’t they go down? It was horrifying to be in this situation, endlessly pelted by magic spells, and they weren’t being subtle about very intentionally aiming their attacks at the spots where he was already injured, either.
That scared him. And the more terrified he felt, the more he wanted to kill them, rip them to shreds--
And they could sense his bloodlust, as they visibly tensed up when his wavelength flared up like a wildfire, clawing at the air, at them. His teeth went on for miles, grin stretching beyond was capable for a human face, and without further ado, he lunged, his scarves tearing through the sky beside him; he was right there in his target’s horrified face when--
The Kishin spun around, taking in the sight of the witches peering at him fearfully from a distance. Between them, a purple, translucent wall. A barrier, one that withstood all of his attacks without as much as a scratch, he quickly observed.
Irritating. Terror-inducing. The Kishin had been trapped inside the spell of a magic box. The witches were going to try and maintain it until reinforcements could arrive, and Asura had to break free before then. But how long could he hold on, when he was literally bleeding everywhere? Just a little longer, he’d kept telling himself, but the battle had kept stretching on, stretching on, and his wounds no longer cared if he wanted them to take a backseat or not.
But in the next moment, a flicker of movement nearby caught his eye, and his head snapped around to get a look. Had he been so concentrated on the witches that he’d failed to notice an additional presence? Or was it because of his spinning head and fading consciousness? Both, most likely.
He didn’t recognize her; not in her human form. So he threw her a sort of hostile sneer, black blood dripping down his expression as he addressed her.
“...Come to join the fun?”
