“Is he dead?” tone a bit too lax for the scene displayed before him.
There he stood at the edge of a crater. Smoke billowing into the sky, wind from the desert slowly whipped away and allowed a better view of the crashed blocky looking vehicle. Deduction from torn wings and blasters, that were scattered and broken around the cockpit, suggest a plane like...thing.
What the aqua haired individual was referring to was the body being pulled out of the cockpit by a slender, ponytailed woman.
“BlackSTAR!” her hazel hues narrowed up at the one higher than her. Seeing as she was the one actually trying to investigate like they had been sent out to do and BlackSTAR was content gazing from above. She kept her cold gaze, helping the male up with an arm over her shoulder. All she got in response was a shrug.
“What? It’s a legitimate question.”
“It’s not helpful,--” she remarked.
“Well, we can’t help a dead person, Tsubaki.”
Tsubaki sighed as she finally managed to stand with the unconscious body hanging off her left shoulder, his right arm wrapped around her neck. With a good enough hold the young woman leaped into the air, seeming to float above the hole high in the air. She landed like a leaf, gracfully, right next to her Meister. He simply tilted his head in her direction, shoulders relaxed. Deep hazel eyes looked the limped body up and down before closing his eyes, head leaning back.
The taller bent forward to her partner, annoyed but she couldn’t help feeling a slit smugness. “Now, are you going to be helpful?” she giggled when his response was nothing but a frustrated groan. She turned, facing forward, which allowed BlackSTAR to pick up the rest of the weight.
Light banter would keep the Weapon and Meister going all the way back to their home, Death City.
Continuing to be oh so helpful, Tsubaki put BlackSTAR in charge of supervising their new guest. They had taken him to the nurses' office in the Death Weapon Meister Academy. Even if he hadn’t undermined and been less than helpful on their investigation the STAR would have been in charge of this male, regardless. One: He was the strongest member the DWMA had. Two: Tsubaki was better at articulating and debriefing the Academy's leader. Third: Yeah, he’d been lazy and apathetic. Tsubaki wasn’t going to shut up all night so to save from later headache he might as well.
The STAR took a nice seat, it leaned back on its back legs at the foot of the bed, watching the guy sleep. Some muttering earlier at him being in surprisingly well condition. Blah blah blah hardly any damage, whatever. He didn’t care. His only concern was this itching boredom tickling the back of his head. “Ugh.” pressed brows, he’d do well to keep gaze. Didn’t understand why everyone was freaking out. The dude felt harmless. Can’t be too careful, they’d say.
“Whatever.” finally he stood on the chair that was being angled by its back legs. The STAR was on the very edge of the wooden chair. Slowly he came down to sitting on his tippy toes on the edge. Balanced. He’d watch this way. Keep the focus on the sleeping male and the chair from falling over. His only hand laid on his cheek, elbow pressing into his knee.
