As far as half the starfighter squads of the Rebel alliance were concerned, Wedge Antilles had once looked the equivalent of God in the eye and flipped Him off, and God Himself said “Fuck it, Wedge, you get to live forever.” Perhaps this was an exaggeration, but Wedge Antilles was more durable than the shittiest stolen and jury-rigged Old Republic A-Wing and more permanent than the never ending snowstorms of Hoth.

I never posted this to my tumblr because I got self-conscious about it, but I quite like it to be honest, and I hope you do too!

Rogue Two by Gary Whitta

When picking a book with low expectations and suddenly something nice pop up. The short story from From a Certain Point of View was pleasant surprise among many sorrows of short stories the anthology provided. And this story is one of the most controversial. The infamous diminishing of Luke Skywalker’s destruction of the Death Star and giving credit to Jyn Erso and her team should be there but it is more like Zev is giving respect to those heroes of the Rebellion. He has deep respect for Luke , so no worries all is good at Rebel Base ... aside a bit of missing Skywalker issue.Ill fated Zev Senesca POV put a bit of insight in the camaraderie among his fellow Rebels as well as a bit macabre humor of putting bets on almost everything. Yes even if our resident Force user would make it and be found. Leia Organa was also pleasant surprise being leader and commander the Rebellion needed.

I love that Han, who I am willing to bet has never really dated anyone except for Qi’ra and Lando, is trying to pretend he’s had too many girlfriends to name them all.

I also... this is such a Luke toast, such a Luke thing to say, and I absolutely adore that this is the toast he gives the very first time he is drinking with Rogue Squad (who haven’t yet become Rogue Squad).

I can’t help but think about how two of the people at that table are going to die during the battle of Hoth. That one day Hobbie and Zev are both going to be Luke and Wedge’s dead squad-mates - just like all the members of Red Squadron Luke just named.
