Zevran’s mom was a sex worker. As a mun I refer to her as such but within my writing and ic interactions Zevran will use the word ‘prostitute’ and ‘whore’ although I will keep the latter to a minimum. He doesn’t use these words for his mom per se, but more for the environment he grew up in, brothel and all. It doesn’t mean he disrespects the women (and men) who he was surrounded by but it’s more of a setting/ context thing since Dragon Age is a medieval fantasy.
I’m also writing a reply for Isabela rn and she may refer to sex workers in the same way, since she does hang out at the Blooming Rose a lot. Again, it doesn’t mean she disrespects them for their occupation, but it’s more of a neutral descriptor of the time.
