As a point of clarification: nearly all variations of Sade Pekkanen are aromantic (the exception being Hollywood!Sade). Santeri and Rei are aromantic. Santeri's affectionate gestures are less conservative and more the most he wants to extend romance-wise/is what is visibly expected of someone of his status. If she wants a date, she gets a date. But it's more spending time with her than actually making headway to romance.

Louis does become important to Rei, simply because they end up doing so much together (and then doing so much together coughahem), but not to the point that she wishes to tie herself to him that way. Which Louis sees a different way given T3RR1's reaction, which Rei kind of puts up with because she likes T3RR1. And isn't examining motivations for that too closely. It may blow up.
