In the free world outside Russian control, no normal person has been driving these outdated Soviet-era cars (The VAZ-2101 is a re-engineered version of the Fiat 124 produced under license from Fiat. If the left-wing Italian government had not agreed to sell Western technology to the Soviet Union, the Russians would have had almost no usable light passenger cars.
