✿ for a general moodboard about my muse - Zhirem
😒 …someone my muse hates. - Zhirem
With a handful of meticulously chosen shells, he couldn’t clench his fist, but the muscles in his forearm tightened regardless. “I am torn,” he said quietly, frowning at the foaming surf. “On one hand, he brought her back and I would not have known her had he not.”
The sylvari drew a slow breath and sighed, staring upward at the bright noon sky. “On the other hand, if he comes within a mile of her, I will pull the heart from his body and burn it.”
Zhirem - Plant (har har)
A roll of his shoulders drew no rustling from the iron-hard leaves fastened in place. When he turned, the armor--coaxed into growth and shaped by the delicate hands of the watching gardener--moved with him. Zhirem smiled, looking down at his feet.
“Did you color it specifically to match me?”
Narasen’s cheeks went a faint blue, but she nodded. Her own shading was a pastel reflection of his--a pale bluish-white where he was black, a soft arrangement of broad electric blue petals draped about her face. “I did,” she said, reaching out to draw her fingers along the edge of one hardened leaf, pressing it into proper shape. “I heard a lecture about armor concealing weaknesses. It’d be foolish to make yours a neon green and show any gaps where your flesh below could be reached.”
He nodded, tightening to the toughened vines that held the armor to his body. “Wise words.” Zhirem pushed his sapphire-lit leaves from his face, hooked an arm about Narasen’s waist and hugged her tightly. “Thank you, little sister. This will keep me quite safe when I leave.”
“Being cautious will keep you safe,” she retorted, looking up at him, one fingertip tapping the plant matter armoring his chest. “Don’t rely on something else. Rely on good sense.”
With a laugh, Zhirem nodded, lowering his head to kiss the top of hers, nose buried briefly in her fragrant petals. “All right, Narasen. I promise I’ll not rely on anything but my own good sense.”
“...I said good sense, not your good sense,” she replied and Zhirem’s laughter echoed throughout the Grove.
That I dreamt of a star instead of the moon only means I can seek my dream without feeling that it remains forever out of reach.
💀 …someone my muse would kill for. - Zhirem
The sylvari paused, glancing around the Luxon ship. He didn’t exactly want to be overheard...
“Talia,” he murmured quietly.
Opinion on lying - Zhirem
“Why?”
The sylvari set his helm down, turning his full attention upwards. “I’ve never understood it. I know people have reasons for it, I’ve heard dozens, but I’ve never completely grasped why anyone would feel the need to lie.”
