🕗 2015
Send me 🕗 and a year and I will give you a glimpse at what my character’s life was like at that point in time. thank you, @zicovici!!
She wanted to say that things were starting to look up, however the pessimistic side of her (and life as a whole, as that side turned out to be right) quickly proved her wrong. Nothing good came without payment in return, after all.
Doors were beginning to open. After well over a year of fruitless attempts, Harlowe finally started to feel comfortable with casual conversations with her group mates, both of the original lineup and the one member that joined at the same time as her. She was free to drop digital releases on her own, similar to the rest of her group mates. She began acting– something that she was pushed into by the CEO and not something of her own accord, but it was something that kept her in spotlight without having to embarrass herself on variety shows, so she bit her tongue on it. The hatred directed towards her mere existence was starting to fade. Maybe the users simply got banned from their forums, or maybe people began to pick up on her mannerisms and grew tired of nitpicking over little things. Either way, she was starting to think that maybe this idol thing wasn’t as bad as she originally thought.
That is, until she started to say no. Until she started to push away, ask for her privacy and to not be followed with eyes that practically beamed through her soul. Then, she could sense YMJ’s halls growing cold as she walked through them. Her home for the last few years was starting to not feel very homely, and once again she was beginning to wonder how worthwhile it truly was to stick around for the four people that she felt the closest to at the time. She’d already sacrificed her childhood, her sleep, her friendships and family for this lifestyle, did she have to give up what bit of personal agency that she had as well?
Once again, those feelings of self doubt hit her, she decided to push through it. SPICED’s seven year contract would be up in two years, twenty four months, roughly 731 days. She could make it through if she kept her head down and stayed focused only on what she was told to by officials.
Maybe this whole time she was just being dramatic. His grasps were skinship only, his invasive questions were curiosity and not developing a sense of possession over her. Or maybe she was just lucky, like that trainer told her years before her debut.
Some luck.
