Man, I have been so busy with the two jobs and school it has been forever since I drew anything and even longer since I drew anything on paper other than a quick sketch. I remedied that tonight. I bought a new marker pen (The ZIG Cocoiro lettering pen, extra fine) and decided to draw something old school style to test it out. It's a nice pen. I normally like a thick line but this is pretty sweet. The tip is flexible and emulates a brush line. It can go from thick to thin according to the pressure applied. It is also inexpensive. I bought three refills and a body for around $11 and that included shipping and handling from markersupply.com. They came quickly too so I highly recommend this supplier.
The drawing itself? Sick and twisted. I saw a photo online of Ryan Seacrest interviewing someone on the red carpet and the caption below was "Who are you wearing tonight?" It lead to this. I think I like the line drawing better than the color version and if you're interested in seeing the line the new marker makes this is probably the one to look at. Either way I spent about an hour or two on the whole drawing so it could have been better (artist remorse/post drawing depression).
Last bit, if you don't know who Ed Gein was you might want to check him out. His story is a sick but interesting one. He was one of the original and most famous serial killers. Many movie characters have been based on him. I hate to glorify any killer and especially one who murdered women but his story is interesting in a "how does someone get this crazy" kind of way...
Seacrest out......
