Updated Hakari Design

So yeah, updated my Zilla OC design! Now, this will be a long post about what inspired what and the lore of some of the design elements. So, if you only want to know what Hakari did look like and his lore, click here and here though for obvious reasons, the appearance and the breath color is different so ignore them in the original post.

Another difference is the webbing in between the fingers and toes.

First is the head. I used this concept art as inspiration for Hakari's.

I know it's not all that good, but I tried.

For the dorsal plates, I used the top image of this one.

For lore of the Dorsal Plates, I decided to have the individuals of the zilla species have radically different dorsal plates, though the most common being the forward-facing triangular plates.

The first reason as to why an individual would have different dorsal plates is if a Gojira individual is present in the area. The Zilla's plates will grow to resemble the Gojira in a form of Mimicry.

The second reason is camouflage, the plates forming to look like rocky outcrops and so on.

Now, for the atomic breath...

Used this concept art for the 1998 film that ultimately went unused. Lore reason is that I like the idea that the Zillas evolved something similar to the Gojira species but obviously a weaker version of the atomic breath (I'm thinking of having it be another form of mimicry but grew into its own thing).

So yeah, tell me what you guys think about it! If anyone has any wuestions about Hakari or the lore itself, my askbox is open!

TFW you're lazy and don't feel like drawing a new one and decide to use the one you already drew and digitalize it. So, yeah this is Hakari's colors as an adult and where they go on him.

So, I decided to make a Zilla OC in the monsterverse a part of an au that takes place after History Shows Again and Again where Zeek adopts them as a hatchling. The information is under the read more. Note that I can't get some aspects away because there's some things in my fic that I haven't decided yet, so this is the basic information I have for this creature.

Name: Hakari Gender: Male Species: Titanus Jira (sub species of Titanus Gojira) Height: 2.1 Meters/7' standing up straight and 1.8 Meters/6' standing normally (Baby) 98 Meters/321 Feet(Adult) Relations: Zeek (Adoptive father), Godzilla (Adoptive Pack Leader), Madison (Adoptive cousin) Discovered: as an egg by Zeek on the beach below some overhanging rock at Pensacola, some ways away from Zeek's home.

Appearance: lightish brown scales, tan underbelly and legs, orange eyes and his dorsal plates were little more than spiked nubs going down his back. (Baby) Dark brown, duller looking scales, a light brown underbelly and legs and three rows of dorsal plates that curved forward and they are a burnt orange color. (Adult)

Nuclear Breath: Flamelike in appearance, similar to Godzilla's in 2014. It's a red and yellow color.
