Hey @zip001​ (in response to this post): I use Joseph First Run, an Australian oil that I order by mail directly from the producer in South Australia. It is indeed free-run/first run, where the olives are not actually even pressed as such, but the oil comes from the oil freely flowing from olives in a vat. 

It is sold out every year before the new crop comes in the following year, so I always order 3-4 bottes when the new batch comes out to last a year!

There could be some nostalgy here too, as we used to live not that far from the winery/olive grower, and visited that often for wine tasting and twice, for a memorable olive oil feast: this first run oil literally just a few days after it was produced, when it is so fresh and herbaceous and tasty that you could just drink it from a glass... With wood-oven pizza and bread and salads...Yum! 😋😋

@ladytp yup, we are making temaki (hand rolls) but we do not make them like an ice cream cone but moreso like a cylinder.

So like sushi rolls in general? Sounds (and looks) absolutely delish! 😋

I have been making and eating lot of chirashi sushi lately. *checks my diary* - 11 times since May, as a matter of fact, the best streak being 8 Fridays in a row... It is so easy to make, and as much as I love preparing complicated food with my hands, on Friday evenings after a busy week at work, somethign easy does not go astray... 😁
