I had a stranger call my Alison cosplay lazy (granted, he didn’t seem to know that I was in fact cosplaying a character and just thought I rolled out of bed and came to the con, but! it still puts a damper on your con high when people voice loud negative opinions about you).

If you want more female centric shows to watch there is iZombie, Orphan Black, How to get away with murder.

I already watched izombie and Orphan Black, but not How to Get Away With Murder (hated every character/was bored)

and while izombie might be female-led, it’s still mostly dudes around her. it’s still mostly men she spends her time and energy interacting with. Which isn’t the same as JJ, which was very frequently just women on screen, which was about women’s relationships with other women.
