So, Shadowhunters premiered yesterday and as you might notice, some people decided it was okay to bash the show just because they want it to be exactly like the books. Those people felt this way because they decided to watch the show biased and without an open mind, therefore failing to enjoy it.
And for them, I would like they read a message I got. It’s from a person who didn’t think would enjoy the show and asked me for advice. I told them to have an open mind and see the show as it’s own thing, not some copy of the books.
This is what @ziuku had to say after last night’s episode:
Hi :) Remember me? We talked a while ago about the new shadowhunters-series. I was really unsure about the whole thing .... Well. I watched the first episode and you were right! I just had to drop all my worries and watch it without any prejudice from a whole new angle. And damnit but I fucking love it! XD The cast really convinced me throughout the episode! I am so excited for the second one so I wanted to thank you for helping me get a new look on this one and not missing out on it ;)
I’m so happy I could help a person enjoy something they thought they wouldn’t enjoy. And I hope this can help people undestand that the show will not be a copy of the books, and that they have to watch it like any other show.
