Ooh, I'm curious about something. Does c!Zloy need to eat living flesh like regular zombies do? If so, does he prefer players or villagers for snacking?
The idea is that c!Zloy actually ate villagers every night in his sleep when he first became a ghost-in-a-zombie. Back then he also burned in sunlight.
Having thought that his place just wasn't spawn-proofed or something at first, he only discovered that it was him eating them after a long while.
Strapping himself to bed or locking himself out of the trading hall didn't work, so he departed for the remote mesa, where a golden apple and weakness potion binge-treatment eventually helped remedy the symptoms of being a living corpse.
And the burning under the daylight was solved with the whole "helmet stuck to the skull" thing.
who are brette and witherbone? i am very interested. i have never seen them before
Two minecraft OCs of mine, a Piglin Brute and a Wither skeleton. Meant to be part of Zloy's backstory of sorts.
Recently was thinking that whole thing over, and realised that those two probably have met, and probably didn't find the meeting that appealing, given that Piglins attack wither skeletons on sight
Yoooo, here’s a fun factoid: I do not have a day job!Not even once. My income comes from three main sources: >The YouTube AdRevenue from Recap and my own channel>Some french people who have me do dope illustrations for their cool books>Random commissions on the side when I feel like it (which I lately really don’t)
This means I have no single main thing that would eat up my time except for you know, that whole eating-sleeping ordeal. As a result I have several things I just constantly switch around. Just using the book illustrations to take a break from YouTubing. Then using YouTube stuff to relax after all that drawing. Then weekend comes and it’s like a day off except I need to put together that whole recap thing, so Monday is my actual weekend, because I spend the entire day basically asleep.
So that’s fun, I set my own hours, I make enough to stay afloat and I get to watch minecraft letsplays while I do that.
Now, a savvy reader will notice that at least one of those is currently being actively threatened by another YouTube apocalypse with the whole COPPA situation, so thank you for that, GOogle, never let me forget that my livelihood is constantly on the brink of collapse just cause you like breaking the law and upsetting the advertiser companies by putting their ads on popular racist videos.
But wait, there’s more! - Now the Russian Federation passed some very weird and alarming law about anyone who recieves money from a foreign source and also actively spreads information - including on social media - can be considered a “foreign agent”. So, thank you, Russia, never let me forget that I have german relatives I should’ve left to live with like a decade ago.
In other news, I’m a terrible role model and should’ve probably gotten a job, except that I have three and pay my taxes wooops.
would u burn in sunlight without ur goggles because your goggles go in the head slot and zombies don't burn if they have something in their head slot
Whooo boy, here I go LORE-ing again
Heres’s the thing: the backstory of Zloy was pretty much planned, but never actually played out ina ny of my let’s plays. So on one hand, none of this is cannon cause it never happened, but I’m the author, so it’s kinda cannon? Idunno. I might still use this stuff in a singleplayer letsplay some day, but that ain’t happening untill at least 1.15 so whatever. Let’s spell it out here for safekeeping (and because it’s fun)
So, you remember how Zloy is basically a soul in a zombie body? Great.
That zombie body originally didn’t do well with sunlight at all: it burned in sunlight, and would even rot here in there. At that point Zloy was super into experimenting with villagers though and was very much aware that to cure a zomb villager you feed them a golden apple.
So for a while there Zloy was walking about constantly wasted on weakness potions and devouring a giant supply of golden apples. It worked for a while, but as the gold stash was deminishing, it was obvious he needed a better solution. What’s worse, the constant burnination of skull has worn the top bit of the bone, so a bit of brain was sticking out - all around an unpleasant experience.
To work around that, Zloy started wearing a helmet, though that went south rapidly too, because first to try it out, he put on the shoddiest helmet he had around - a golden one, but it got pretty much curse-of-binding’d to his head. So for a while he just had a helmet on the top of his head, waiting for it to break but also constantly trying to fix it as to not be left in the sun with no protection whatsoever.
This was a stroke of luck, in a way, because gold is a magical metal (not making this up, it has a better enchantability than iron in-game, though diamond is even better). So it got magic’d up a bit by just being around someone who is basically a lich.
But eventually the helmet finally broke when Zloy got hit on the head a little too hard. But several plates got stuck in the crack of the skull, covering the bone damaged bits. This finally allowed him to wear other helmets, even though putting them on had to be super painfull at first.
Because at this point Zloy returns to his diet of golden apples mixed with enchated ones, his bits started to regenerate to a degree - though never going past being a green zomboid. As a result the tissue on top of his head grew over the helmet bit, resulting in the head looking like it does now. That’s why I sometimes draw him with stitches or scars on the side of the head - implying that’s where the border of the helmet was.
So ultimately, the reason Zloy doesn’t burn is not the goggles, but the helmet he still ahs embeded in his skull, so on semantics, he’s technically always wearing a helmet. I know that this explanation is super silly, but I feel it fits the clumsy logic of minecraft really well, even tohugh the whole “helmet stuck in skull” goes pretty far into the fanfiction territory. I’d still like to play out this storyline some day, so don’t get surprised if I bring it up, but then also change it a bit in the actual videos :B
Gravity on ships and space-borne structures is handled by field plates, devices that use non-mass gravity generation to adhere things to a surface. These work by attracting andsions, a mass attractive quantum particle that makes up dark matter and also is present in all other matter in small amounts. The low quantities present in people and objects leads to varying levels of effectiveness for these devices but for the most part, field plates have been a staple of technology since their invention. In very rare instances, field plates can malfunction and create an attractive field several hundred times more powerful than the gravitational pull of Kvesma, instantly flattening anything within their influence.
“Scav” is common parlance for many types of people, namely those who exist outside the boundaries of established nations. “Pirate” is often used interchangeably with “Scavenger”, though the term is technically defined as individuals who seek to illegally profit from governments and corporations. Still, scavengers are stigmatized and shunned across the system and exist in untold billions at the edges of civilization, posing major danger to anything not properly defended. Some even say that life is better on the fringe, where freedom and opportunity go hand in hand.
