[you dont gotta post this if it makes you uncomfy, just wanted to put in my 2 cents!] As someone who is involved with kink/fetish communities sometimes in a NSFW way, people who mark their blogs as "sfw" despite posting the same material squick me the hell out, esp when it turns out theyre minors (which isnt always the case but it does happen)
I think people are just afraid to admit they find something absurd interesting, so they slap on sfw to make it appear as not "devious", but as long as it isnt hurting anybody and you tag it correctly you shouldnt be ashamed?? Besides they aren't exactly fooling anybody when they post things as you described and have the gull to call it sfw when it isnt.

I get what you're saying and I'm not saying they're bad people or something, but... I've been lied to way too many times to buy the excuses anymore. You would be really surprised how some people will show others really explicit fetish art and say it's SFW I mean, I have numerous times. People can be into whatevs they're in to. That's just the way of it... but it doesn't have to hurt for it to be improper and impolite, which frankly, in esscence IS harmful, as it shows a lack or respect to people that don't want to see that kind of thing in a SFW place. That's like swearing aloud in a church. Doesn't hurt, but it's a clear show of disrespect.
But hey, maybe I'm the fool. *shrug* Wouldn't be the first time. ^^;
