Astrology and Compatibility

Whilst I was learning about astrology, I noticed a common theme of questions and general topics that were floating around that people had questions about.

Not unsurprisingly compatibility was one, I mean who doesn’t wanna know whom they are compatible with?

The funny thing is compatibility is such a broad topic, even in astrology, there are so many factors.

e.g. If we are talking about romance, it is said

For a woman you would want to look at your Moon sign (Emotions) and Mars sign (Masculine, what you find attractive, physically/personality).

For Men it's the same Moon Sign but instead of Mars sign, it would be Venus sign (Feminine). 

This means if say a woman has a Moon sign in Cancer and a Mars sign in Aries she’s going to be attracted to a man (or woman) who either has Cancer and Aries placement’s in their chart, or have signs that have similar characteristics to a Cancer or Aries. 

When it comes to Venus or Mars it can play out a bit more different in my opinion:

Let’s change it to a guy this time, he has his Venus in Sagittarius. 

Venus (or Mars for a woman) has to do with physical attraction and personality. Men with this placement will usually go after the most attractive girl at the party, she will also have to be quite blunt and independent for anything to stick. Certain signs have a bit of a reputation of being vain when it comes to their partner's looks (I think it has a lot more to do with how they would be perceived, sounds superficial, but I guess the world needs contrast doesn't it?)

Other things to consider are your 5th house placement (i.e. what sign rules your 5th house, 5th house is all about having fun). Don’t be surprised if some of your friends have the sign from this house (people you enjoy generally having a good time with).

7th house placement, whatever sign you have here, there will be something about these people you are attracted to, and you’d subconsciously see yourself with them in a more committed sense (marriage sure, but longer term in general)

8th house placement, this is an intense house because it has a lot to do with things you could say are a bit more mysterious, or taboo. In regards to relationships this could mean transformative, people you feel a strange connection to. This house is equally positive as it can be negative if you can’t learn how to control your own emotions. 

IMPORTANT: 

A lot of people want to know how they can find out who their “soul mate” is by looking to astrology. There are so-called indicators but at the end of the day I think you just gotta feel, and play that out with the person. I think putting expectations on anything, including astrology is a recipe for disaster. I love astrology, but I don’t think you should let it dictate your life.

What’s your opinion on this compatibility, do you think it's accurate, who do you jive with most and why?
