Soooo sorry for the late reply, I’ve had this in my draft forever, completely forgot about it <__<
If you order wigs on ebay (which I recommend it’s really cheap with good quality) there’re three major things you should think about!
1. Is the seller trustworthy? (Ebay has this great thingiy where sellers that have sold a lot and gotten a certain procent good feedback get a medal-thing. If you click up the wig you’ll see a big medal in the right corner, you can’t miss it if they have it!
2. Does the real wig look as freaking awesome as the one the cosplayer wear in the picture? (Most of the time no. It won’t look the same. You’ll need to cut, style the wig yourself etc etc. BUT the thing to be wary about is that some sellers use standard pictures when the actual wig looks nothing like it IRL! Ask the seller for extra non-cosplaying pictures. If a seller can’t give me new photos, I don’t buy simple as that.
3. Is the wig heat resistant? (This is more of a suggestion from my behalf. If it says heat resistant then you know that this is quality! And heat resistant dosen’t have to be expensive. There are great H-R wigs for around 12$!
If you’ve never used lenses before there’s one really important thing to remember… You HAVE to ease in your eyes to wear lenses!! If you plopp them in at the start of the convention day your eyes WILL hate you. Start by wearing them maybe 2-3 hours and then add 1-2 hours every day until you can go 8 hours without wanting to take them out every second you close your eyes.
For sites I recommend Pinkyparadise! They’re really good, I’ve only had good experience with their costumservice! There’s also Honeycolor, they’re a bit cheaper, however their costomservice mad me wanna punch a hole in my wall soooo I’d stick to Pinkyparadise ;)
