That surname is embarrassing, lol. I felt racist whenever I saw her and went, “Is she asian…?” then I see her last name. Thanks, Degrassi writers!

They've always been somewhat obvious about surnames when it comes to Asian characters though: Chu, Chin, Chang, Takahashi, Oh, Park, Hosada-Bloom... Kendra Mason was just about the only Asian character who didn't have a "recognizably Asian" surname. And she's maybe a special case in the surname game anyway because she was adopted. Had she not been adopted by the Masons, her last name probably would have been equally as obvious...

The nurse also told Clare that the baby had a 'strong heartbeat'. I've never experienced any of what Clare is going through (pregnancy at all), but that just sounds kind of...odd?? Lol.

I dunno. I mean, that could also be something normal for them to say during an ultrasound? But given this whole ominous air about things, I think they are just saying reassuring things now to eventually throw us off when something goes wrong with the baby.

Miles almost ran over Maya, but he mainly bumped into her while she was on her bike. He was backing out of the school parking lot. I thought Maya was a little girl and I was like 'oh shit, he almost hit a child'. Then she lifted her head up and showed that she was Maya. Reminded me of those anti-pot commercials with the two guys smoking and they run over a little girl on a bike...while in a fast food drive-thru. Maya wasn't hurt, though.

I have never seen those anti-pot commercials, but they sound like those “don’t drink and drive” commercials.  Which I hope is the message of this plot, and not that weed is as bad as illegal drugs.

I think Jack is ooc because she is faking how she acts around certain people. The squad thing seems like the real Jack, but the way she acts around Imogen seems fake. Especially the whole thing with the 'polyandry' storyline and her quickly stepping back from her initial statement about not liking how 'heteronormative' monogamy was. There are probably more monogamous non-hetero couples than not (look at gay marriage since it involves 2 people). Underhanded writers are misleading viewers.

That's an interesting perspective! Maybe season 14 has brought out the 'real' Jack, and how she acts around the squad is more so how she really is. I don't know that there's really any way to know for sure, but it's an interesting idea. 

Jack's whole rant about monogamy being heteronormative was just weird and misguided (and potentially pretty offensive, IMO), and I wonder if that's what she really believes or if she was just rambling and putting a bunch of words together and hoping that something would stick. I mean, she did say at the end of that one episode that she still believed in some of that stuff, but it's hard to say what exactly she does believe in!

Big Byung. I should look into that group. All I know is that Mark(?) from GOT7 is involved and a member from VIXX. Keep forgetting to look up their single. I keep refreshing the Degrassi tag on Tumblr. Nice V image. I don't know. Maybe it's because I didn't watch the thing live, but EXO's stage felt uh, like something was missing. I bet it was because there was no special camera like with the Growl stage from 2013. BTS/Block B was pretty cool, though.

It’s a funny group xD I think it is Mark, I don’t remember I’m not too big on GOT7, and I know the feels with refreshing the Degrassi tag, I do that all the time.  I always like reading people’s opinion’s about the episodes/characters.  Out of the Freshmen, who do you like so far? Yeah.. EXO’s stage did seem like something was missing.. I still can’t believe Chanyeol got sick during ‘Overdose’ TT.
