there was a rule of thumb that his mother told him before he took over the auto shop don’t flirt with the customers and most of the time matthew followed the code. maybe breaking it once in awhile to compliment a regular, or to get a smile out of someone that seemed to be having a rough one. however with zoe the rule all but left his brain. it was harmless fun and he never crossed any lines, but now that he had gotten her car back to running it was time for the fun to end.
cheesy grin spreading across his lips as she made her way into the shop, “ Well there’s my favorite customer.” he’s quick to tease wiping his hands on the rag in his back pocket he strolls over to her. “ I dunno how I’m going to survive without these weekly check in’s now that we figured out the problem and got it fixed.” a faulty fuse was all that had matthew banging his head against the wall and cussing the makers which only had infuriated him further to see how easy of a fix it actually was.
