“Amazing? Try ‘work of art’ ...” he answered, a glorious look of pride flashing in green eyes. He was proud indeed -- because sandwich making was somewhat of a talent of his, and he’d just perfected a seventh layer of beauty and was contemplating adding another. But the real beauty of it was the meat to bread ratio. Too many people used too much bread, not enough lettuce as a substitute. It allowed it to be more structurally sound to hold more meat.
His mouth was watering, his stomach was grumbling. He was driven by hunger almost always, even when he’d just eaten. It was about surviving to the next meal. And he knew this was something that Shaggy could relate to. “Well, dude? Think you can handle it? I might be persuaded to share ... And we can just make more when we finish.”
