The Walking Dead vs. Dish Network
I find it very entertaining to see how the entire AMC (and other irrelevant channels) vs. Dish Network has played out. Though the issues may not be directed towards The Walking Dead, it clearly opened the eyes of many at the Dish Network company. I have talked to many friends and acquaintances who switched cable providers just because they were unable to watch The Walking Dead. I won't lie, I even went to a friends house specifically to watch this show. In the beginning this whole controversy had to deal with the loss of a few channels and quickly turned into The Walking Dead Fans vs. Dish Network. The outpour of millions of fans who wanted their AMC back was incredible. Clearly, The Walking Dead and their fans were a force not to be fucked with. Take Facebook for instance, Dish Network currently has over 2,000,000 fans, whereas, The Walking Dead have over 11,000,000. I'm sorry, but if the numbers alone didn't change it then I'm sure it was the plunge of people who unsubscribed to the Dish Network company. The Walking Dead is a fantastic show with a HUGE following. I'm sure Dish Network will think twice before they pull the plug on any other channels who have boosted their sales.
