What was Amelie like before she met Francis and the others?

Amelie was (technically) an orphan, and very lonely! Her dad gave her up when she was an infant because he didn’t want to be involved raising a witch-child! Her visions/prophecies usually fell on deaf ears as they were very cryptic, and she spent a lot of her time trying to learn magic on her own without schooling.

She’s really old actually, like a couple centuries at least. One of the jobs she had as a teenager before she went to work in Francis’s sideshow was being a housemaid for a wealthy, eccentric occultist living during the early 1800’s. She mixed up their champagne with a prototype elixir of life he was working on and accidentally gave herself immortality!

I’ve been recovering from the flu for the last few days but I’m just starting to get some energy back! ✨
