So its finally outdoor seed planting season in Zone 5. I motivated to get outside today and got a variety of Sunflowers, Amaranth, Poppy, and Hollyhock seeds planted. I looked it up, and all 3 wildflowers compliment each other so I did a little seed mash and got to planting!

I also got some Lavender plants transferred today AND...I saw this idea on tiktok, you take the 3$ bag of 15 Bean Soup and you plant the beans directly into the ground and harvest later.

I was super excited to get a half a bag planted today! I had an old raised bed and just tossed them in. Hope it works out!

Sometimes, in Zone Five, if you listen very very closely you can hear a dial tone ringing deafly at night. Thing is...the closest phone booth- that is most definitely defunct, mind you- is all the way in Zone Two

Happy Storyteller Saturday!! What is one of your favourite things to work on for world-building? ~TheRedScreech

For world-building, god, it’s got to be the lore! 

I like to add a touch of the supernatural in there, keep it interesting, so I like adding some unexplainable elements, and why they’re unexplainable. 

For example, in violent children don’t need a home, Poison ends up in a house within a perfect city that’s at least a hundred years old, from before the wars, and it takes him exactly where he needs to go. 

Or, there’s a border of moonflowers growing all along the border of Zone Five - and Zones aren’t actually bordered, there’s just a sign here or there.

Any particular spots in the zones known for parties?

Zone Five as a whole! Zone Five is known for its parties as well as its concerts, though most actual concerts happen within Zone Six at Left Hall. 

Of the parties in Zone Five, particular popular spots include Promise Fever, a pit someone dug out for about forty feet all around, building a retaining wall in the pit and absolutely no staircases. In the center is a bonfire pit about five feet belong that, and yes, generally to start a fire you either make someone go down there or add a touch of gasoline and drop a match. Promise Fever is known for all the dramatics that tend to go down there, though that’s usually because Show Pony likes to throw their parties at that particular spot.

Okay, listen up. I’ve got important news.

I have found some weird desert plant that you can make tea with. Real tea. (As in not disgustingly bitter, not poisonous, and not overly radioactive.)

I mean, it’s still a far cry from your favorite Earl Grey or English Breakfast, but it’s something.

So from now on, I will be selling loose-leaf desert tea. Contact me if you’re interested, and we can work something out.
