While I am on an Asian theme I thought I would continue with my favourite Ramen restaurant!
So I came across this by accident, I went to go to another restaurant in Mt Eden which was closed so decided I would give it a try, and now any time I hanker for some warm soupy ramen I know where I am going. With the average price of $15 for a big bowl you can not go wrong. The menu changes every now and then so don’t get settled on a favourite, but then with ramen this good, you don’t need a favourite.
ZoolZool is located right in the heart of Mt Eden so it’s easy to get too.
But don’t get too distracted with just the ramen, their sides are a huge feature as well, I suggest bringing a friend (or four) and trying a range of dishes, from steamed buns, soft shell crab edamame beans salted.
There are two different types of ramen, one with the broth which makes it a full soup of flavour or you can get the reduced broth, which is my go too. This means you get all the flavour of the ramen but with out filling up on the broth.
There is a great range of Japanese drinks, from sweet soda’s, Cherry and Pomegranate, raspberry and lemon mmm I am thirsty thinking of it. For those wanted something with a kick they have beer and cider. And for those wanting to stay authentic make sure you try the Sake! great range of flavours, ask the awesome staff for their favourites to go with your meal.
