Dad’s Army
Day 14
Today was our first day of heavy rain and so our plans to walk the Boston Freedom trail were scuppered. Instead we headed into the city early before the rain arrived and went to Quincy Market which is the Boston equivalent of Covent Garden. The middle hall is all food stalls (no prizes for guessing whose idea it was to visit) but either side of this smorgasbord there were lots of stalls and shops which sold a wide variety of items. Some purchases were made and we managed to spend a couple of hours pursuing but the expected heavy rain arrived and so we headed back to our hotel. Everyone was happy mooching at the hotel, with an occasional game of cards and a film on TV, and in the end it was a nice relaxing day before we head down to our final destination tomorrow, the city which never sleeps, we’re going to be a part of it - New York, New York.
We took some touristy photos because we made a new friend to take them!
Some very London views on my wall home from work
Some more Quentin Blake
