Gerry Mulligan, Stan Getz, Al Cohn, Zoot Sims & Woody Herman. One day Ralph Burns heard Zoot Sims' unique tenor saxophone sound and warmly recommended him to Woody Herman, whose orchestra was one of the best at the time and where Woody was always on the lookout for young musicians who were pushing forward. In Herman's ensemble, one of the most important saxophone sections in the history of jazz was born, and it was christened the "Four Brothers".

Un día Ralph Burns escuchó el particularísimo sonido al saxo tenor de Zoot Sims y lo recomendó calurosamente a Woody Herman, cuya orquesta era de las mejores en aquellos momentos y donde Woody siempre permanecía atento a los jóvenes músicos que venían empujando fuerte. En aquella formación de Herman, nació una de las secciones de saxos mas importantes de toda la historia del jazz y que fue bautizada como los «Four Brothers».
