#zootopia 2 speculation

Before watching Zootopia 2 (with no knowledge of the Lynxley family aside from Pawbert's teaser and poster appearances): I hope they don't make that sweet-and-awkward-looking lynx date Clawhauser because that would be so much more boring than Clawbogo, both personality-wise and sociologically.

After watching Zootopia 2: THANK GOD they didn't make the sweet-and-awkward-looking lynx date Clawhauser, that would be just as toxic as Clawhauser with Bellwether but more likely for him to fall into in the first place.

I had a dream where I saw "Zootopia 2" a month early but it didn't have Judy or Nick in it at all (or the new snake for that matter). In fact, the only characters I recognized were Bogo and Clawhauser. Sadly, it was not a Clawbogo movie, as Bogo dialed the jerk behavior up (something I am still worried could happen in the real movie from the trailers).

If they do have some returning characters believing that bigotry against other mammals based on their order, size, or species is bad but that bigotry against reptiles is ok because they "don't count", I would be ok with almost any character having to learn otherwise EXCEPT for Clawhauser.

For Clawhauser, I would accept the following flawed portrayals: being ignorant of the issues altogether, being too afraid to speak up, or being too non-influential for people to listen.

Gazelle would be an odd choice as well, but I can see it working in some contexts.

Bonus points if Bellwether of all people calls them out on their hypocrisy (an idea posited by someone else that i appreciated).

The new trailer has me both intrigued and concerned. The plot looks very interesting, I just really REALLY hope they don't screw up the characterization and worldbuilding.
