Let’s talk about Zootopia City Planning & Engineering

There’s a region, marked [1] in the picture, where instead of desert, it was green. But it was right in front of a segment of the Climate Wall!
Is it turned off because Savannah Central needed more space? Or maybe the heater side of the wall is badly damaged?
In any case, that would mean an unbalanced Heat Pump, for the other side of the Climate Wall in that segment was likely still providing significant cooling (and snow cover).
In any case, region [1] became habitable. Likewise, there’s a region right at the end of the Climate Wall, on the Heater side, marked [4]. This region is also habitable. Either the Heater was also turned off there, or the heat generation had been turned down.
Now, all those pristine snow being pumped by the Cooler side of the Climate Wall, including those Snow Cannons:
They need to come from water. So, there’s probably a desalination plant right there at region [2], a view of which we can see here:
Honestly, the left side of the bridge looks too upright to be natural structures. So, underneath the layers of snow, there was probably a HUGE building sucking the water from that inlet to be desalinated and processed into fresh snow.
This desalination plant may or may not be linked to the “meltwater catchbasins” (regions marked [3] in the pic). But probably not; these catchbasins directly feed the water delivery system of the Rainforest District.
The final interesting regions are marked [5] and [6]. These regions seem to be ‘pristine’, non-terraformed regions still used as habitats.
Maybe the getaway destinations for the Rich and Famous?
It does not seem to be easily reachable by land vehicles, though, as you can see the lack of bridges connecting the Rainforest District to [5] and [6]. But of course, the well off would either have their own speedboats and/or helicopters to ferry them across the Western sound (That’s what I call the body of water between [5]/[6] and the Rainforest District).
Interestingly, the mirroring piece of land across the sound from Tundratown does not seem to be as developed as [5] and [6], I wonder why...

This train is a great representation of the high technology that Zootopia society had achieved.
Look at the train and the rails:
No “3rd rail” (the power rail)
No overhead/catenary power lines
And when the train wooshes by the camera (twice in the movie) you can hear the wind noise but no Diesel (or any combustion engine) roar
Now let’s analyze the train’s performance:
Judy arrived at her apartment at 2:16pm (alarm clock time).
Assuming a 30m walk from Grand Central Station, her train arrived at 1:46.
Looking at the shadows of the Bunnyburrow town sign and the shadows of people in Zootopia City, she left Bunnyburrow at around 10:14. (The shadows are the same length)
A total train trip time of about 3.5 hours
Bunnyburrow -- Zootopia City are 212 miles apart
So the train must maintain an average speed of about 60mph (= 96km/h)
This does not include the necessary speed up when leaving Bunnyburrow, or the slow down as it negotiated the curves entering the city, and the final slow down entering the Grand Central.
So during peak speed, the train probably reached speeds as high as 120mph (=192 km/h)
Ladies and gentlemammals, that is a yiffing FAST train.
I don’t think batteries will cut it.
The train probably had its own internal Fusion Reactor whose electricity output directly drives the motors.

Does anyone ever wonder what’s the purpose of those six vertical “snow cannons”?
It’s not just for show -- although that is one purpose -- but it’s to quickly cool down the hot Sahara Square air pulled by the high-speed train. The snow blasts are “sacrificial snow” that will immediately absorb the heat, melting in the process.
This is good engineering.
