I tried to make it brighter and more visible, the girls next to Lori look so cuuute omg 🥹

And I can bet on Ron-senpai being bff's with that elephant guy, but I can't prove it

There hasn't been a full explanation I found, but I think this is the theater club photo they had. The girl with the braids writing the plays, the girl with the bob cut being responsible for the rehearsals (probably the teachers pet, idk she gives me that vibe) Lori-chan being the young and talented tailor, making the costumes like a professional, the elephant guy being the heavy lifter, helping them carry the set props and Ron-san, ofc, being the lead role (He does have talent and was dramatic as a teen, if you ask me) together, they'd write an amateur but admirable play for the school festival.

Ron would be a bit sloppy at first, which is why Zororeene thought he didn't like her at all, but of course, we all know that he's devoted to her in an interesting way.

At the end of Da-da-da-daibouken, he openly remembers her, but he doesn't seem sad or regretting anything. Then I noticed, so is Zororeene!

In this artwork from a calendar I found, she is looking at his plane, but she wasn't sad at all, she seemed almost glad to see him!

That made me think...

So, why did Zorondo Ron leave? In the flashback in the 14th episode, Zororeene looks worried, but then looks natural in the present.

It's simple because that is Zorori’s point of view. Well, in a way, it is. Let me explain, in the manga, Zororeene was the one originally talked about Ron without giving his name, only saying he dreamed of soaring in the sky and made the plane and took off without a test flight and then he was missing since then. (And this all happened when Zorori was just three)

Now, why did I said "It was Zorori's point of view."? Because he doesn't remember his father at all, we, the reader, or the viewer, we always see Zorori's perspective with a little sprinkle of his Mama or others speaking.

Returning to the main subject,

I think the reason Ron left wasn't just about his dream. He never planned to fall in love and have a kid, but he didn't want to break Zororeene's heart or Zorori's hope either. Zororeene is also someone who cares about dreams and goals. She let him go, not because of heartbreak, she knew he'd do the best he could. Ron was intimidating but had a very soft heart. He couldn't bear seeing the weak helpless. He wanted to be an anchor, someone to rely on, even though it meant he would never see his lover and son ever again. Zororeene was aware of his disappointments and his nurturing nature, even though it's rare. She let him go because she respected his goal of helping others without creating a bond at all. She always knew he was a thrill seeker but also the father figure Zorori never got to see. Ron had a very protective side to the ones he cared, and the ones he saw were helpless. That was truly why Zororeene had fallen for him. Not for his charisma or his sharp gaze, she fell for his big feelings that he just won't show to everyone. He cares too much, and it affects his everyday life, making him the responsible one all the time, wanting to protect others, even though he was hidden, making sure anyone would feel wanted, needed and cared about. What he truly wanted was to be that one to help people get over their depressions about being helpless or poor.

We needed a full arc of Zorori truly getting a hold and going after Zorondo Ron, not abandoning his dreams, but asking the question, "Why didn't Mama ever tell me about him?"

Because kid Zorori seems to love his Papa very much, even though he's briefly mentioned

Still, I would love it if we got to know more about him. Zorondo Ron, this is what I mostly think about him and Zororeene's relationship.
