I'm not sure if you heard you right but did you just say Temari has no affiliations with Suna? UM guessing Temari wasn't talking to her brothers in chapter 700.

I meant in terms of being a suna nin. Obviously she is always going to be connected to it through her brothers but we get no indication that she is A.) still a suna shinobi B.) involved in any way with the Suna government/politics or C.) maintains her former ambassador position. For all we know she’s cut ties with Suna completely and only sees her brothers when they visit Konoha (which again....she didn’t even interact with them during the chunin exams arc in the Boruto manga so lmao).

Sakura is an elite Jonin medic ninja with Hokage status priveleges or perhaps I suppose you didn't read that about her before you write such a dispicable post regarding her accomplishments?

Um.....I never disregarded Sakura’s accomplishments? That post wasn’t even about her, it was about Naruhina and, more specifically, Hinata and I only mentioned Sakura in passing. So, I mean, congrats on that reach I guess?

Anyway, me pointing out that the kunoichi were written in a misogynistic way by being turned into a bunch of housewives does not in any way detract from Sakura’s accomplishments. And.....like.....you can’t really say that I’m wrong for pointing that out. Sakura is a housewife. She takes care of Sarada and sometimes we see her punch stuff and we saw her do a little healing in the Boruto movie but like that’s it.

Like if you’re gonna get mad, get mad at the writers for making all the women stay home and take care of the kids and clean the house while all the male ninja are still out doing missions and shit. Get mad at them for essentially rendering Sakura’s entire narrative - which was to improve herself as much as possible so that she would no longer be a burden - useless by making her a stay at home mom who, as far as we know, doesn’t go on missions or do ninja work anymore. Meanwhile, her former teammates who were her main motivation for improving herself, are still very much involved in ninja work. Naruto’s the hokage, for fuck’s sake, and Sakura is packing Sasuke’s lunch and seeing Sarada off on missions. It’s an unsatisfying conclusion to a compelling and interesting, but poorly handled character arc.

Also, like, why was my post despicable? Because I pointed out a very real and present narrative problem that this show seems to have and you didn’t like it? Sorry, but my critique is valid and the fact that you don’t like it doesn’t make it bad. It just means that you refuse to critically engage with the media you consume, which is your problem, not mine.

Ok first, I’m anti-ss, it’s in my description, which answers your question of why I’m “suddenly writing analysis of why he didn’t want her” (it’s not even an analysis...?). 

And... no, Sasuke did not stay with his family after his mission was finished. He was there for a short time during Gaiden, then he took a family photo where he looks stiff as fuck in, and then left again. I don’t know what he’s doing in Boruto because I don’t follow the show, but I’ve seen in screen caps that he’s... still not in the village, much less around his family. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

I also don’t know where you’re getting the idea that he wanted to see her again? He never calls, never even sends a letter, and when he sees his wife for the first time in twelve years he pretty much looks disinterested and like... barely even talks to her.

Also, if by “Sasuke’s dialogue states otherwise”, do you mean that one time he said that his and Sakura’s hearts were connected because of Sarada? Because (I’m pretty sure it’s been stated multiple times) he means that she is literally the only reason they are still together. He’s staying because of the kid. Nothing else.

They should still divorce because this relationship is damaging to the both of them as well as their daughter.

2) nope, i never said i didn’t want to be a victim to greed, just objectively stated the fact that boruto is a product of greed rather than anyone’s desire for the story to be told. aka, a cash cow.

3) just a fun fact: i actually didn’t even watch the episode with hiashi, just saw a gifset reblogged onto my dash and was. flabbergasted.

Sakura is a wife and mother, doesn’t mean you can take her rank as nothing. She’s still a very powerful Jonin ranked Shinobi. You can’t get the point that her accomplishments remain the same is definitely a problem with you to be passing such a dispicable post regarding her.

I’m not disregarding her, I’m not knocking down her accomplishments, I’m not saying she never achieved anything just because she’s now a mother. I’m saying that taking all the kunoichi and turning them into housewives who are rarely shown doing anything but keeping a home is another sexist development following a history of sexist and misogynist writing. To show the women of the show raising the kids and keeping the home and now showing them doing much else while their husbands are still off saving the world and being active members of the shinobi world is sexist. 

God, it’s like you’re purposely missing the point. I love Sakura, and me pointing out that she’s being written by a bunch of sexist and is a victim of a history of misogynistic writing does not detract from that. You incorrectly interpreting what I’m saying is not my problem and you need to learn that me critiquing the writing is not me hating on the characters or invalidating their accomplishments.
