Been wanting plushies of Quote and Momotaro for like a REALLY long time. So when Brace Yourself Studios said they were making a Cadence plush based on Rift of the Necrodancer via MakeShip, I decided to use their concept art as a base.

…now, besides the matter of drawing the lads from different angles, I’m not sure what color blush works with Quote (and Curly Brace too come to think of it.). I have used red pink before, but different colors be neato. So now I’m not sure.

A general situation setup in my brain. Crossover shenanigans, y’all.

This took a lot more effort than I was going for because I decided to attempt to replicate the art styles of the series these characters came from.

Anyways, we have:

Momotaro, the freeter who goes by its definition of “part time job worker”. For some reason, he does numerous part time jobs, not just sticking to one at a time. But for some characters, that is normal. He seems stoic at times, but is anxious underneath the surface.

Quote, a mysterious robot that Momotaro found…or is it the other way around? Either way, they’ve been traveling together for a bit. Does not talk very often so he’s pretty quiet. Likes to steal, but often shares.

Cadence, an inter-dimensional traveler by rifts. We’re not sure how she became part of the group, but because she’s the tallest one, she thinks she knows the most so she takes on a lead role. Here for the free food. Also she’s into girls, and already has love interests she’s possibly already dating.

Kat, Ana, and Lulu: a trio of young girls who work for a rotund, stinky man named Wario. They latched onto Momotaro because he seemed to be a ninja, at least by appearance and capability to fight with a katana. Because Wario does not pay his employees and the little girls are scarily very independent for their age, financial compensation for looking after the three doesn’t exist. But the rare occurrence of payment is usually food lovingly cooked by 5-Volt.

I am a person who has random crossover ideas, I don’t own anything and I am not affiliated with the creators of these characters. I make up lots of stuff, do not take my word as canon.

So today, March 10th, is Cadence’s birthday! She hopefully got to eat as much as she could! (Momotaro probs paid for this meal with his part time jobs money)

Felt like going into deets about this strange trio that I sorta made that should include other indie characters…
