🌹 where in your world does your oc feel most at home? Is there any reason why? If it’s not the place they were born, where were they born? Is there a certain somebody that makes them feel at home where ever they may be? What does home mean to them?

I think Basil feels most at home wherever his friends are tbh. So like, his and Arkady’s shared apartment, Biche’s apartment, and Lilac and Daffodil’s apartment- anywhere where he spends time with his friends. I think Biche’s apartment has a special connection to him, because he’s lived there with her on and off for many years before he moved into his apartment with Arkady. Basil has lived in the same relative area his whole life, and he can’t really imagine living anywhere else. Arkady, above all else, makes him feel at home- his apartment with him is special because Arkady is there, and without him it wouldn’t be the same. To Basil, home is a place where he can do (pretty much) whatever he wants, and somewhere he can be with his friends :]

🌳 what is your ocs favorite way to relax after a stressful day? Do they have a favorite book to curl up with? A hobby? Or do they have a nice bubble bath and have an early night to bed?

I think this can depend on what KIND of stress it is. Like if it’s stress that stems from like.. things going wrong, like “my car didn’t start and I was late to work and I had this really rude customer”, he would probably like to hang out with his friends to get him in a good mood so he can forget abt it all and move on. If it’s stress from being overwhelmed, like “I had so much to do and I couldn’t catch a break, it was super overwhelming” Basil would probably just want to be with Arkady and watch a show with him. Being with his friends makes him really rowdy and hyper, and if he’s feeling overwhelmed, he needs to do something more calming instead.

🌺 what does your oc do when they calm down when they’re scared or after a nightmare? Do they have any special comfort items or need to be reassured by a specific person? How do they handle this if they’re alone?

Ooh this one is good, I like this one. I don’t think Basil gets scared very much- they can be a huge goof and might not always take things as seriously as they should. So when he’s faced with something that really truly scares him, I think it can be hard for him to recover from it. He’s not very sentimental in terms of personal possessions, so I don’t think he has any specific items that calm him down, aside from maybe his instruments. Like maybe he picks up his guitar, and plays a little song. Usually tho, Arkady is there to help him out and calm him down. Arkady can have a bit of a temper, but I think overall he has a pretty calming presence, which is helpful for Bayz when he’s feeling overwhelmed or scared.

22 what are their favorite insults to use, what do they insult people for, or do they prefer the bitch behind someone's back?

Harley doesn't tend to insult people If she does it's mainly her friends. Even then she just tends to call them things like a dumbass in a playful way. when it comes to people that she doesn't know it tends to just be ignoring and then dealing with stuff later

36 what are they good at, what hobbies do they like, can they sing?

Fairly basic things you know she's pretty decent at sewing things and cooking, but likes to explore new things to do. Is she likes to go fishing, hiking, and camping whenever she can, pretty much anytime she can be outdoors she will be. She can't sing very well but really likes it when she's alone.

50 to if they could take one bag of stuff somewhere with them: what would they pack, what would they consider their essentials?

Pretty much it would be camping gear. Things you could use without having to worry too much about space, definitely tea and her lucky Rock a camera and a good couple rolls of film.

OOOOO, UNRELATED TO THE ASK GAME THO: You gotta tell us about The Poly Crew!!!! Seabury, Flicker, Waves, and the unnamed plane dragon >:O

TRUE!! I don’t have much for the plane dragon yet sadly so I’m not totally sure how they fit into all of this, but I can def talk abt Waves, Flicker, and Seabury!

Seabury has lived on the coast their whole life, being a sea dragon and all, while Waves and Flicker grew up together in a remote desert region very far away from the coast, and water in general obvi. The desert region is very hard to travel due to the shifty sand and high winds, leading to a constantly changing environment. So things like roads or train tracks would just be totally buried in days, making them pretty useless.

Waves and Flicker have been friends since they were kids, but as friends sometimes do, they sort of drifted in and out of each other’s lives along the way. For some later years in elementary school, the two didn’t talk a whole lot, but they reconnected in middle school, and they grew incredibly close and started dating in early high school. They’re both poly, so they had a few other partners here and there along the way.

Back to their location tho- it’s not that it’s impossible to get to the desert region or that the citizens there feel trapped, it’s just a bit more disconnected from the rest of the world. Flicker and Waves, therefore, hadn’t seen much of the world beyond the desert. However, there’s an oasis area in the desert, which is basically a resort city, with spas and resorts and casinos. It’s a pretty popular vacation spot for folks who live outside of the desert region, and is near the fringes of the desert so it’s easier to get to. Flicker worked in a resort here for a few years as a teenager, and he met people from all over the world, and it sparked his sense of adventure.

Around the same time, he met Seabury somewhere online. The two bonded, and as Seabury talked about where they lived and the college they hoped to attend the following year, Flicker knew where he wanted to be more than ever. He told all of this to Waves, who also immediately fell in love with the coastal region Seabury called home, and they made plans to move. After doing a fair bit of research, Flicker applied for the same college Seabury was attending, while Waves looked for apartments in the area. Waves wasn’t interested in college, so he and Flicker planned to live in an apartment off campus.

Months later, after securing an apartment and Flicker’s slot in the college, the two moved with the well wishes of their families. The two were very excited (and nervous), as was Seabury. They all settled into their new lives, and Flicker and Seabury grew even closer, as they were attending the same college. Waves got a job at a tacky souvenir shop outside of an amusement park, and he couldn’t love it more. He likes to get some fried food on his way home from work, and Flicker loves it when he brings some home. As Seabury bonded more with Waves and Flicker, the three decided to add Seabury to their relationship :]

The plane dragon comes in some time after this, and I think they’re a fellow student at the college, maybe a friend of Seabury or something. And that brings things to the present!

Sorry for going Off, I love these ocs so so much and I’ve been working on them a lot lately, especially Flicker and Waves if that wasn’t already obvious lol. Thank you so much for the ask, I always love to talk abt my ocs, esp the ones I’ve done a lot of work on!!

Camilla; 35; 38; 48? :o

Camilla momence... Tbh I still haven’t done a whole lot of work on Camilla so my answers might be kinda bland but I do love her a lot so it’s nice to develop her thru ask games like this

35- “what’s their guilty pleasure? What is their totally unguilty pleasure?”

Camilla doesn’t strike me as the type to have a “guilty pleasure” tbh, I think she enjoys things guilt free. She’s very sure of herself and who she is, and is unapologetic about it. So for totally unguilty pleasures... hm. She does music and stuff like on streams, and I think she really really likes streaming. It makes her feel like she’s putting on a concert, and she absolutely loves to perform. Of course, she likes doing real in person performances even more, but those are much more sporadic and don’t happen to often.

38- “What do they admire in others? What talents do they wish they had?”

THIS is a really good one god. I think what Camilla really admires a lot are people who can be very... real and honest in their art. Like musicians who really expose themselves and their struggles and their past through their music. I think that’s a huge inspiration to her. I think that’s something Camilla wishes she could be better at too- evoking feeling in her music and songs! Another thing is that Camilla likes to act and write skits and short plays, but she feels she isn’t very good at it yet.

48- “do they enjoy any parties? If so what kind? Do they organize the party or just turn up? How do they act? What if they didn’t want to go but were dragged along by a friend?”

Camilla LOVES parties of any kind I think. But she especially likes big parties, because I think she’s the kind of person who really likes to socialize and meet new people, and parties are very good for that. That being said I don’t think she does a lot of organizing herself, she’s def the kind to just show up. She’s also not going to be dragged along by a friend except in specific circumstances, but for the most part she’s going to be the one dragging her friends along to a party instead of the other way around.
