Baby, You're a Rich Man at the end of The Social Network one of the needle drops of all time
Everyday I fight the battle to not respond to Dustin Moskovitz's posts and today I failed
My conspiracy theory for this year is that the only reason Elon Musk is first buddy to Trump is because he saw that JD Vance, one of Peter Thiel's proteges, was nominated as vice president, and Musk is still harboring a grudge from the time Thiel got Musk ousted from CEO of PayPal.
Yes the fight is funny, yes my ideal outcome is Mark sends Elon into a coma and then loses all his money via lawsuits or prison or whatever, but listen. This is Not an excuse to make lizard, robot, etc jokes about Mark. He's Jewish. These jokes are anti-semetic and dehumanizing. They would be bad anyway, and they are bad, but especially because the other player in this is Elon Musk, noted antisemite, transphobe, didn't pay Twitter's bills for the whole time he was CEO, all around horrible human being. Joke about it all you want, but don't fall into the trap that Elon wants you to fall into.
The featured Wikipedia article for 2/20 is Tesla and unions and I Really hope whoever assigned it did so specifically to fuck with Musk. Actually, considering his recent vendetta against Wikipedia, I'm almost certain this is the case. Anyway, did you know that Tesla is the only American automaker that's not unionized? This is despite multiple union drives and because of the explicit interference of Musk and other company executives.
THIS JUST IN DUSTIN MOSKOVITZ SAID HE'S COOL WITH RPF
can't believe one of the main things that's mentioned over and over in Careless People is just how sweaty Mark is lmao. Obviously I would like if the policy is emphasized and...it is, except that there's lots of anecdotes (which makes sense for a memoir, it's just not the sort of thing I prefer to read), but I think this deconstruction of Mark's intentionally polished image is important and goes against so much effort by Mark and his team. Really, he's just a sweaty, nervous, pathetic man, and bravo to Sarah Wynn-Williams for making that obvious.
Calling attacks on Tesla cars/dealerships "domestic terrorism" is so fucking insane. I mean I know corporations are supposed to legally be people, but no actual alive humans were injured in Any of these protests. Which I think is pretty significant!
