2) The joke was already adorably lame enough the first time around, but the fact that Zura repeated it just made it that much more adorably lame. He’s such a precious dork. I do wonder though how the heck did he manage to sneak that box in. Where did he hide it on his body???
3) Zura’s sleeping face was equally adorable and terrifying.
4) Coach Zura looked so damn GOOD.
5) I love that Zura can’t even count sheep like a normal person and instead has to come up with a whole high school soap opera scenario to get the sheep going.
6) Shachi! Man obviously has good tastes in guys: first Zura and then Gintoki.
7) Zura’s totally unintentional yet brutally effective take down of poor Shachi-kun.
8) Honestly, Shachi’s a real cutie. Feels like I don’t say that enough.
9) I am pretty positive “playing UNO” is an euphemism for something sexual, considering the bevy of prison bitches Zura manage to collect.
10) He is really so awesome. I love Zura.
11) This was actually really sweet; I almost wish Zura was sincere about his efforts.
12) HESSOCOOL!!!!!
13) Up until this point, I totally fell for Zura’s ruse too. I actually thought he was there to recruit more Joui members. I kinda felt bad for Suekichi as I thought about how disappointed he would’ve been when he woke up the next morning and found his idol had escaped prison when he gave up on doing so after 15 long years of working on his tunnel.
14) The best prison break EVER.
15) I think this is the first time we’ve seen Zura’s evil look (and maybe the only time) and I LOVED it even though it was legit scary.
16) These double-crossing dorks.
SHIPS TALLY:
Zura x Suekichi: yeah, I ended up feeling bad for Suekichi. He sincerely gave up his 15 years of tortuous hard work on his escape tunnel for Zura and it was all based on lies.
Zura x Shachi: this would have been so sweet if he actually meant it.
Zura x Elizabeth: of course.
Zura x Everyone: I mean, if I were in prison with Zura, I would totally be willing to be his bitch too. Who in their right mind wouldn’t?
Disclaimer: Gintama is not only about shipping. Gintama is hilarious, clever, exciting, poignant, heart-breaking, loving, brilliant, and just completely unbelievably amazing. It is only due to Sorachi-sama’s immense generosity that I am able enjoy Gintama on an extra another level, the shippy level, and I am forever grateful for that. GINTAMA IS LIFE AND LOVE.
