What are the benefits of workflow automation software?
Ask yourself how work takes place in your team(office). All the team members working towards achieving some set of goals. Sometimes you need approvals, set of approvals, multiple reviews etc. It gets cluttered as the team size increases.
All you need to have some designed workflows to limit confusion and chaos. There are some amazing workflow management tools that can help you do just that.
Whole pictures becomes super clear after you design workflows then you can automate some of the redundant process and save immense time for yourself and push team productivity to next level.
Benefits of workflow management systems
1. Avoid errors beforehand & fix them easily
Having designed workflow can help you audit the whole process beforehand so you can reduce errors beforehand. Even, if it is missed beforehand it can be done in later stage by simply pin pointing the area of broken flow.
2. Reduced time in approvals
When workflows are automated, employees don’t need to wait for approvals to reach them. They can simply look at the software and know by themselves. hence saving time on communication. There are a few Saas platforms that does it super well Tallify, Zvolv & Pega.
3. Better work visualisation enforces trust in teams.
Employees are informed on the workflow platform what they need to do, managers can comfortably delegate tasks and track better. Significantly reduces the need of micro-management.
To have a good workflow you need to have the right tool. Here is a bonus tip on the same.
Look for the software that is easy to integrate and customise. Look for no-code tool that can save you from reaching out IT for small things.
Adding some tool that I the most -
Zvolv - It’s a no-code tool which can be deployed within days. Also, it has rich automation features that you see in expensive suites like IBM, Pega etc. It has intelligent process automation which is really advanced compared to its competitors. It is good for mid size companies.
Airtable- Easy to use with a really nice dashboard but Automations are limited. Nice software for marketing companies but not for other verticals. Requires support for deployment and automation is limited. Good if you are a large enterprise.
Kissflow - It’s a really nice software that requires low code to deploy. Their customer service is good. It has premium feel but quite expensive for startups.
