Halubajski zvončari (Halubian Bell Ringers)  (the eastern part of the Kastav region, Croatia)

as a big group march from village to village and with loud noise, bell ringing and dancing, chase away the evil spirits and the winter to call for spring, new birth and fertility.

Bell Ringers (from the western Kastav region, Croatia)

are distinctive for their colourful hats with paper flowers while the bell ringers from the Ćićarija slopes, from Mune and Žejane, cover their heads with colourful paper ribbons.

The Carnival is coming!

Here's an Indian hare with a mask of a muntjac' skull. All the thing is based on the Croatian tradition of zvončari (but mixing the features of some different cities). I hope you enjoy it :)
