Its not very like Jaejoong, to stick himself out into the open where he doesn’t know anyone at all. As much as he enjoys making new friends, there’s no getting around his nerves when he is a stranger to everyone around him. That time between acquaintanceship and friendship has always been difficult for Jaejoong, who has to decide if he is willing to hide some of who he is or not when wanting to make a good impression. So, even as open hearted as he is for all the new people he’s now put into his life simply by moving into such a full house, there’s a need for a familiar face that he’s just not willing to ignore.
This is how an invitation for dinner and drinks to someone he’s known for years, but never been particularly close to, gets extended. Haruma and Jaejoong have shared friends for quite some time, stretching back to when Jaejoong first arrived in Japan. Yet despite this, they’ve never had time to share between just the two of them, always lumping together with a bigger group for more fun instead. Now though, with the two of them having moved to Shimokita around the same time, and Jaejoong reaches out to the familiar face for company. Jaejoong only feels all the better for it when he realizes he’s able to make a meal in Camp House for Haruma, a single guy who doesn’t live with is parents any longer. A home made meal means a lot when you’re living alone, Jaejoong knows. As does having drinks provided for you when you’re only working with a school teacher’s salary, and not that of an adult film actor’s like Jaejoong’s.
“Haruma, hey, Haru-ah,” the Korean familiarity slips out even with the Japanese, a strange mixing of cultures brought about by a slightly alcohol addled brain. If sometimes he forgets which language he’s speaking and babbles in the wrong one for his company, Jaejoong doesn’t seem to notice. “Hey get up here,” he says tauntingly, but with an amiable smile akin to childhood friendships while patting the spot beside him on the roof. The climb up is a little precarious, but Jaejoong thinks he has good incentive. “There’s the good stuff. The good stuff’s up here-” the ‘good stuff’ being the good liquor, “-and our own theatre. The show’s starting without you.”
He’s walking around on top the roof with bottles in his clutch, probably sounding like he’s going to make it cave in to anyone inside, before he plops onto his backside with a happy sigh.

[*// she’s well versed in the art of eating alone, not due to lack of friends or anything like that (even though she always wishes she had a few more girls to hang out with)–– just weird hours and odd shifts, overtime to get a little more pocket change. it doesn’t feel too ridiculous anymore, or odd, munching on a hamburger the size of her face, mayonnaise in the corners of her mouth and all, with her legs dangling due to the seat being a little too high... the restaurant is practically deserted anyway, a few dotted people here and there. all young –– she knows from experience the older japanese citizens abhor the global franchise that the glowing yellow arches are built on, see it as an attack on sacred tradition. jiwon just likes the taste, from time to time. salty yet sweet, crispy chicken and soft doughy bread. and the free wifi. –– //
[*// she looks up briefly, taking a break from furiously tapping on her phone, and locks eyes with another pair of dark brown irises. a couple of blinks and she becomes startled, pink blush dusting her cheekbones. no words are needed to make her flustered; attention is enough to make her horribly self-conscious, especially since there are lil crumbs on her face. instinctively she looks downwards, counts to five, slowly, while staring at her mobile screen, before gingerly raising her head to reconfirm the glance is directed at her, and her only. ]
