My aunt has been wanting to see this performance by a Taiwanese dance group for some time, and there happened to be a show in SF this weekend. My cousins didn’t want to go, so I offered to accompany her and actually ended up canceling a tutoring session so I could go with her. (I tutor too many students and should consider stopping after this semester)
We had lunch at one of her favorite Cantonese restaurants, and then on the BART ride over we had a really nice conversation about all sorts of topics–she’s a CEO boss lady, so we talked about drama among her employees XD, and she also shared memories about my late grandmother. Honestly, I look up to her so much, she’s really wise and thoughtful, super caring and empathetic.
I don’t get days like today very often, so I’m very thankful. :)
